    Hello,
I have my computer set up to automatically log off of all websites everytime I click off of it and I have to re-log in everytime I return. On ALL the other sites I use I can leave the site open in my window bar {?} along the bottom of my screen and I stay logged in.
But, here on ADV I get logged of almost everytime I click to a different window or if the screen goes asleep it logs me off. Usually it even logs me off while I am reading some longer pages and threads or while I am typing a longer thread and I have to log back in to finish posting a reply.

Is there something in my set up that has changed that I need to address to slow down the auto log off time?

I do not think it has anything to do with my security settings because this does not happen on other regularly visited sites.

    Thanks for any help.

I think this is an automatic feature that Baldy has built-in. Basically logs you off if you haven't clicked on anything for awhile. Not sure what the time limit is but seems to be somewhere around 15 minutes?

You can get a widget that looks like a thumb drive that continually moves the cursor 1 pixel back and forth. It just plugs in a USB port.

    ttpete,
Thanks for the idea. I will look into that.
I am not sure if that will fix it or not though. I stay logged on as long as I am clicking in and out of different thread or writing short posts, but just scrolling and moving my cursor manually does not seem to prevent the knock off. But I will try to manuall see if that helps. I do know that typing does not change it.
