That Husaberg 300 is one KTM I'd own!!
Hey Dave, what can I say other then "that was too awesome!" But I need to ask you, if a Brooklyn Guy leaving from Miami makes it to your neck of the woods, can you take him and a few of his cronies for a weekend ride like this?
I need that... please. ;-) G.
As usual, awesome ride, and the reporting is incredible as usual. Always find a good way to tie it all together: chinese food, moustaches, what is next? I second Guy's motion, as I have spoke to you other times about riding together again. Hopefully we would be able soon.
It would be great fun to torture you guys out here! We just need to round up 2 Honda CRF150 w/trials tires!
I'd sure like to see some of those places but not enough to want to tackle the sidehills or that water crossing. :eek1 Thanks for showing us what many will never see.
Don't say never LadyBug!
Flowers (late bloomers) for you!
We sure do have some good stuff here in the PNW. I'm glad you took a little time to enjoy the flowers along the way. I'm sure this is exactly what Mr. Pinchot had in his plans.
There are a lot of great dualsport roads to explore at GPNF. You do not have to do that water crossing if you have a plate because there is a road that will take you around. You should definitely take a visti down there!
There is a spot with an old lookout called Burley Mountain that is on a FS road. I have seen Mt. Ranier, Mt Adams, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Hood all from there on a nice clear day. The view of Mt. Adams from the campground at Takahlak (sp) Lake is amazing. You would love the Krause Ridge Trail.
The hard stuff is hard and exposed but there is a variety of terrain to be seen. You could ride dual sport roads down there forever!
I wish I could have attended this ride. Nice pics guys. It looks like you had a good time!
Excellent RR! I can't believe you guys crossed that stream.:eek1
Yet another epic trip, keep it up Dave.
YO - E - Professor rolled up the driveway 2 days ago and I could hear his 620 LC4 making that diesel sound you and I know so well !
Put it in the truck and drove him home.
Nice report. You did a nice job of getting pics. I have a difficult time getting any pictures of our rides. But, I am going to make a better effort in the future.
On a separate note; I have not seen the bag set-up you guys have on your bikes. What are they called? Can you steer me in the direction to get some? (Even the Husaberg 300 had them.)

wachs ; thanks for the report ! Damn , haven't done any good trail riding since about 81' . Thanks for reminding me that I NEED a smaller dual sport for the single track . Have been through there on USFS 25 on my Strom but was just passing through on a loop ride over to the Blue Mountains last summer . Thinking a DRZ 200 would pack my old butt just fine , what do you think ? Keep them coming , I need reminders .
Boy, that was easy! Thanks!
