Assuming you're talking $4.59 a US gal, at today's exchange rate, you'd have folks queueing round the block for petrol/gas at £0.77 / l (if my arithmetic is correct) in dear old blighty ... :deal

... and if you guys REALLY want a belly laugh, check out what folks have to pay for Diesel in Europe ... :rofl

Currently average US prices are around 3.00US per gal. But that roller coster may swing again without notice :eek1

On another note: Check out these cafe girls (most of them have been posted in this thread) http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=qs8JlZm7ur8&feature=endscreen

gas has been >$4/gallon in europe for >30 years. when i left eastern europe last summer after a one year project assignment, gas there was $8/gallon. seems we americans are a whiny bunch when it comes to gas prices...

I've spent more of my adult life living abroad than in the US. The funny thing about gas in Europe is that is is cheaper than the US....before taxes. We just tax it a lot less than other nations. I'll find the stats when I get home, but during the Bush years, Germany was the cheapest industrialized nation for gas before taxes.

MIOB, and I thought we had it bad :cry
And as for your location "cold, wet,,," all we've had for the last 48 hrs is continual rain, not stopped at all.

We need more girls on bikes pics to cheer us up.

On the plus side: I spend 4 hours with a girl, a camera and a bike last night.

Not an old bike though, so no photos for this thread :p

I still need to process them and I never post photos before the model has seen and approved them.

These are a few from a shoot I did last week:
