we dont have mile markers here, just signs (ussually at intersections or at towns telling how far it is to the next(few) towns or major locations so finding a nice even one could be tricky...will have a think where i can find some signs though

The smartphone that I grab photos with doesn't fit on a tripod. Not even sure if it has a timer...if I were to use an actual camera I don't think it would stay on my seat as there isn't a flat part anywhere on the seat. As far as carrying a tripod -> that would mean going out and purchasing one first (and I aint gonna do that). But I have been looking for an excuse to rig up a handlebar mount for a camera/video camera for use while the bike is in motion (mostly to photograph the license plates of morons who try to run me off the road)...

Just commenting that the way one chooses to get their photographs shouldn't be prohibitive in a game that focuses on riding. :eek1

But I like the alternative printed picture of myself version of the file prevention item.

Check the RAM mount for good handlebar mounts, if you haven't already.
I've got a couple tripods you're welcome to use, but neither are exactly bike-portable... :D
I'll just use my cheapshit digital camera at arms length with the bike and object behind me if/when the temps get to where I'm not being a *%&@ about riding... :lol3

That would do it, stay in the saddle and angle a mirror so we can see you.

I've got 4/5, but I can't figure where I'm going to get the mileage marker. Seriously, I doubt that most of the roads I even ride are more than 20 or 30 miles long at most... :lol3 Really don't feel like breaking my self-imposed No SuperSlab rule, but that's probably what it's going to take.

Routes 40, 95, 85 any of those should have a marker for 100, 200, 300, ........... A lil googlefuing shows that 40 has miles markers and I am sure 95 does.

They absolutely have mile markers as do all the US and State routes. My problem is that none of the roads I typically venture on would be more than 100 miles from anywhere! I'll find one though...

Wait a second!!!!! I've been misreading this! Mile markers - I've been thinking of the "distance to" signs. As in "Richmond - 100 miles" or whatever. Holy crap. This just got very different. Dang. Already de-geared and put the bike away.

Looking for a "smack my dumbass on the head" smiley...

This is sort of what I was looking for last time I posted a list, but more defined:

    1) a one lane bridge

    2) a section of twisty two lane road

    3) something with the word "triangle" in it

    4) a four legged animal

    5) a 5 pointed star

File photo prevention device: the letter A printed or written on a letter size piece of paper visible anywhere in the picture

How picky is everyone on the "file photo prevention" thing? I notice the last grab didn't show it and the latest tag didn't list one. Just curious as I need another tag game. Five isn't enough for me. LOL!

I'd say it's mandatory, but realize that it may be a bit confusing at first. It was for me, anyway. I didn't start this game, but I'll explain it from where I sit, without intending to ruffle any feathers.

So as to prevent anyone from using file photos to claim any of these items, a "file photo prevention item" is listed at the bottom of each list. You're required to include this item in all your pictures. It should be something easy to carry around like a rag or a sock, to mention a couple posted earlier in this list.

I'm certainly willing to overlook the lack of the item posted in my recent list, but would respectfully request that California go back and edit his list post to include one for the current list.

    My 2ยข.

This is a great version of this game, Higworld!

I agree with wb in overlooking the errors in Cali's post. We can see that what I believe to be the paper is taped to his tank so he tried. That, and seeing as he is from, or at least lives in CA, we might have to give him a little to figure things out! :evil

Cali, what is your file photo prevention item? You forgot to list one.
