Tag grabbed - unique persons birthplace. Nicely done. :thumb

    New tag?

A QR code? (I scanned the QR code, but couldn't connect or reach the web site)
    Text at the bottom reads:
    The Hameenlinna City
    Good morning living in Hameenlinna

What's the current tag? Haven't seen a bike pic since the famous person's birthplace grab.

It's only been an hour. Give him a chance to get to the new drop.

Didn't see the time stamp. All I saw was a text reference to a QR code.

I think he made a new drop, I just don't know what he meant it to be. Maybe the QR code was part of the grabbed tag info and the Arrow sign is the new tag?

Some of you grab before you have a new tag. :jack Is it really that big a deal if you get bruced? I don't do a grab until I have a new tag too. I consider it just a simple courtesy to the other players so they know right away what the next tag is and if they are on a ride, can opt to go for the new tag instead of just posting a bruced pic.

I'm not saying either way is right or wrong, just what I do. For me the whole reason I play the tag games is just for a reason to go for a ride.

Sorry guys, I was riding. The new tag is a traffic sign: warning of wildlife. Now go, ride! Be safe! WP_20170924_17_04_10_Pro.jpg

Sorry for the many pictures without any explanation. I used my phone for posting and didn't feel like typing too much before continuing my ride to the new tag.

1 - Bike pic: a corner of the house where Jean Sibelius was born.

2 - Door pic: entrance to the site.

    3 - Stone plaque:
    In this house was born
    master composer
    Jean Sibelius
on the 8th of December, 1865

4 - QR code: I was hoping it would bring you to a site with more info. Seems that it didn't work.
(The text below says: Hämeenlinna City; Good everyday life lives in Hämeenlinna)

5 - One way street: Sibeliuksenkatu (Sibelius Street)

I think I saw somewhere that you should go and ride for a new tag and post it within 24 hours from the grab. I may have imagined the whole thing, though. :lol3

Yes, within 24 hours is the recommended time frame. Many get the new tag during the same ride they get the current tag, allowing them to post the grab and new tag in fairly short time frame. On weekends, this is especially nice, since not everyone can get out for a ride during the week. (though some are famous for their commuting tag grabs, even at night.)

You did fine and thanks for posting a new tag. :thumb

Mika, I wasn't nagging you. Just couldn't figure out what the current tag was. Seriously.

This tag would be appropriate for today.

    Birthday of Johnny Appleseed
John Chapman—better known as Johnny Appleseed for his lifelong dedication to planting apple seedlings all over theAmerican Midwest—was born on this day in 1774. While some frontier settlers thought he was a saint, or at the very least a religious fanatic, with his tin pot hat and coffee-sack tunic, the Native Americans regarded him as a great medicine man since he planted herbs as well as apples.
