Got back from the parade. What a day.Met up with my kids and we had a blast. Watched Kelce at a bar. That boy cemented himself in Philly history. Philly Philly!

This is the Eagles 4th World Championship Ring. 1948, 1949, 1960 and 2018.
Before it was called the Superbowl it was known as the NFL World Championship Game and yes we have 3 rings, so technically we are the World Champions of football 4 times if you include last night's Superbowl victory. It's not our fault that the NFL changed the name from the NFL World Championship Game to the Superbowl in 1967. And they Still call the winner World Champions.

I guess I am the only one who did not like the tone of Kelce's speech. I cannot understand how anyone on this team could be so angry on a day of joyous celebration? Wentz, Foles, Pederson, et al., had huge smiles all day. I am still happy for the team and the city!

I didn't take Kelce as being angry.
He was showing his energy and passion for the game, he called out detractors, (which needs to be done when they are wrong!), and he did it in his own way. If he would have been 'tamer' in his delivery....would he have had the same impact? No. Would it have been as memorable? No. Would it have been the speech all other championship speeches will be compared to? HELL NO!!!!
I'm tired of people speaking PC, scripted, vanilla, corporate/lawyer approved speeches.....and his speech was none of that!!!
    :clap:clap:clap

I also saw him in the parade leading up to the ceremony, walking along the street, shaking hands, signing autographs, taking a bicycle ride. He connected with the fans...as they were the ones that believed in him and the team.
    Not angry.....but grateful and appreciative!!!!

    IMHO

Missed the actual parade but saw it live for 3 hours on and off. Kelce speech was the best, he got things right, sometimes when ur say the truth as is it might sound politically wrong. But this is Philly who cares :)

As for Nick Foles he has always been a eagle and he will be one forever.

    Hey NJBILL,
I did not take Jason Kelce's speech as anger, but I can see how it can be construed that way. I have seen that he is an emotional guy and expresses his emotions with a lot of energy. I think that he was just psyched and relieved that they/we did it - they brought down the giant, America's top dawg team, THE dynasty -The New England Patriots. I also thought that his speech was effective because it showed the real emotion that some of these guys play with. I imagine the experience was cathartic for him, and some are brought to tears from that and some are brought to "fist pumping" and yelling. He was brought to both as was clear from his speeches directly after the game on the field and in the locker room.

He realized that is was a team effort and when your team and friends are constantly being second guessed and have to prove themselves every week despite having the best record in the league, there are really raw emotions that come out. I appreciated his approach and excitement and applaud the team and the city (most of it) for celebrating winning the Super Bowl and throwing a great parade with class and dignity.

I am just happy it is over and that the EAGLES won.

This has been exhausting and I just watched it from my den in front of the woodstove.

    Teeth to the wind,

    Hey Scooterwolf
Great video - you do a nice job capturing a lot of the energy around Philadelphia. I had a good time trying to figure out what neighborhood you left from in South Jersey. The houses looked really familiar because I grew up in that area on South Park Drive and I rowed on the Cooper River in college.
    I immediately recognized Haddon Ave!!
    Collingswood?
    Pennsauken?
    Haddon Ave?
    Browning Road?
    Admiral Wilson Blvd.?

    Thanks for the memories!!!

    Go Eagles!!
