I think he's in Collingswood. I recognized Knights Park (I think,)
It's Collingswood near their high school. I rode down to the Cooper River and then on to rout 130 and Admiral Wilson to head to the Ben Franklin. Small world.
I can not believe that it has been a over a week since the Eagles won the Super Bowl and I am still incredibly excited! Yesterday, I watched a long review of the game and was still just as excited as I was a week ago.
I'm the same way. I think I've watched the game twice since then, and of course all I'm listening to the talk radio shows. I have a feeling it'll never get old.
I have the game DVR’d..
Whenever I get down n out I think I’m just gonna turn it on and get pumped up and in a better mood automatically!
Not doggin Mcnabb but shit, remember all them years we would win, win, win... then shit the bed, over and over. It got old.
This season had something about it. Like Kelse said, hungry (but yet humble attitude) until the Big win! Amazing!!
Every analyst agrees that we will trade Foles. However true, that is going to be hard for me to watch. It is an understatement to say he rose to the occasion. Many of you are too young to remember just how badly Jaworski folded under pressure in 1980. We were out if it after the first series. Then, there was McNabb vomiting in the huddle. That was really lame.
Ideally, we get to see how Wentz fares on that big stage, but that is still an unknown. If we're talking fact, Foles is the only Eagles quarterback to handle that (Superbowl) pressure and play to MVP potential. I know there is a business to run but I'd really love to see the Eagles find a way to reward him for that.
After this year.....do you really want to put much stock in what 'analysts' think???
The Eagles probably cannot afford the salary cap hit to keep both Wentz and Foles after Foles' contract is up at the end of next season. They will need to move one of them.
Trading Foles in this off season, when his value is likely at its peak, is a smart move for both the team and Foles. But, who really knows...
The Eagles will need a quarterback to start the season. I have read that the recovery time for Wentz's injury is about 10 to 12 months + and that means he won't be bak for the start of next season and when he does return he won't be in top form. The Eagles could have a challenging start to the season and they have some tough decisions to make. To be completely honest, I am still enjoying the fact that they won and beat the dynasty of the Patriots. Every time I watch replays of the game, I get just as excited as the day it happened!
I trust that Howie Rosen and the organization will make good decisions for the Eagles and for Foles. The guy needs be to celebrated now. Foles took the team over at a challenging time and truly led them to a world championship. There were a lot of doubters when Foles took over and it was a sure excuse to lose and be out of it. The guy is pretty amazing beating the best teams in the NFL at a crucial time. The Eagles players, coaching staff and front office are an amazingly special group.
I am thankful to have lived long enough to see it happen and can't imagine it being anymore exciting. I lost my voice during the game by screaming at the TV and the city and many neighborhoods that make it up are still excited about the win.
Hats off to the Eagles!!! They played a great game. Very disappointing as a Pats fan!!! But then again we have seen some horrible Super Bowl outcomes over the years. And had our share of terrible seasons back in the 80's!!! Glad it was a game that kept you on the edge of your seat rather than a blowout!!! And there is no doubt in my mind that during the 4th quarter Pats drives Pederson was thinking "OH SHIT HERE WE GO" LOL Glad to see a solid team like the Eagles win!!! One down four to go
Not only Pederson was thinking that, I think the entire city was thinking that! It was an exciting game for all fans down to the last second, unlike some Super Bowls which are boing defensive battles that I watch for the commercials.
It will be interesting to see how both the Eagles and Patriots are next year given changes in both organizations.
The Hollywood nightmare script for next year would see Brady retiring and the offering Foles an offer he can’t refuse to be their franchise quarterback. This then pits Foles vs. Wentz in Super Bowl LIII.
crazy, but it could happen.
I refuse to "LIKE" this quote - forever!!!!
Yes - a nightmare for sure!
It was something of a nightmare thought, but the idea of the Eagles making it to the Super bowl with Foles was crazy too, but here we are — champions. The bad news now is the odds of impossible things happing are also possible too. In this nightmare scenario the Eagles still win though. It’ll be like Rocky II.
I just watched a long highlights video of the Super Bowl
and it was just as exciting as the day it happened.
NFL films is just a few towns away from where I live. I’m excited to get this soon too.
I used to work right down the street from NFL Films. Went by it many times on a lunchtime walk. On several occasions there were VERY spendy cars in the parking lot there, but I never saw any players coming or going.
They will be flying an Eagles flag on their flagpole until after the next Super Bowl. Someone local should ride out and snap a picture to post here.
Never let your daughter date an Eagles fan ..
When the weather is right I’ll head out as a soon as I can. When I was an undergrad in film school I used to take a bus from Philly to NFL films to drop film off for development, then take a bus back a few days later to pick up. They were also the only place film students in Philly could go for a sound mix, unless they could afford a lab in NYC.
