Yeah, on pump gas. Beauty of a turbo is unless at WOT there is little to no boost involved...just like riding a stock bike until it is called on. I should sell the turbo as I doubt I will ever go back to a Sportster...planning some future long rides on the Police bike. :thumb

    Turbo the bagger...woooooosh!

I've never heard a turbo H-D in the flesh but the turbo 4cyl dragbikes were real quiet.

Nah, the bagger is going to be my couch lol. Yes, the turbo'd bikes make little sound even without a muffler. I put one on at one point just because it flowed with the theme of the bike.

I won't do anything until spring but I'm starting to contemplate an exhaust...I certainly don't want anything loud (I start my bike every morning like 10 feet from my neighbor's toddler's bedroom, and I try hard to not be a douche) but I'd like something with a little more rumble than stock. I know there are almost infinite options, anyone have suggestions to narrow it down?

i like the SE slashdowns as far as a slip-on muffler goes (thats whats on my roadster). i would really like an upswept full supertrap sort of set up though.

Most euro3 exhausts are relatively quiet, but they're also pricy, because they have cats in the mufflers too.

    Stock exhaust is real quiet.

Why would I want to haul beer and ice? With a Harley I can always pull up to a bikerbar and grab my cold beer there and not have to worry about my scooter being f'd with outside.

If you're on a Honda PC nobody will fuck with it as it is well known PC owners have a few scews loose. If they didn't they wouldn't be on a PC.

That was a D&D Bobcat 2-1...yeah, it sounds like a cross between a Ducati and a Chevy V8. I probably have some sound clips of it...I'll post them when I get home from work.

Damn that sounds good...impossible to judge relative volume though, especially since it looks like the video was shot in a closed garage. Do any of these aftermarket exhausts have decibel ratings available?

I initially bought the exhaust on looks alone...was pleased with the performance and sound afterwards. Any exhaust system change is pretty much a leap of faith unless you have access to one on a running bike beforehand. Sound clips of exhaust are much like music...hard to judge on a pc.

Agreed, that's why I came here to the fount of all knowledge to see what everyone else has and what their experience has been. :deal I know it's completely subjective but how would you characterize the volume of the D&D?

A mellow grumble when cruising with a sharp bark when you whack the throttle. Easy on the ears when riding, but has a raspy tone when you call on it.
