Our last part of this leg today was from Lillooet to Pemberton which is rated one of the top 30 roads in BC. Not for the faint hearted or low slung foot pegs! Lots of elevation changes, rough and smooth tarmac, tight 20 km/h hairpin curves. Now toss in the most heavy rain we have encountered on our trip with water pooled roads and the Adventure was on!
This last leg was 100km and took over 2 hours to complete. All our gear was tested to the max. My right side Jesse pannier had about 1 liter of water in it.:eek1

Today's Stats: 8 hours on the road, with over 6 in the rain.
I know we are capable to run almost any rainy condition after what mother nature threw at us.
Did we enjoy the day? Machines were flawless, superb roads and spectacular scenery ... what do you think:freaky:freaky:clap:clap

Forgot to mention all manner of wildlife encountered so far.
Of course lots of deer, sheep on the road, one baby black bear, and very large black bear that surprised both of us, especially bullseye!! He came up from the ditch and got startled by Dale's motorcycle and stood up on its hind legs. I saw this action from behind and tried to hit the record button on the Drift camera, but was too busy grabbing a handful of brake as was Dale:eek1! Luckily the bear scooted in the opposite direction and not in front of us on the road. This bear easily was taller than us on our bikes when it stood up...sheesh.

Drift HD Ghost video of sheep and traffic. Raw and unedited. Sorry for the length at the beginning and my silly sounds:wink:.

Short riding day today, about 4 hours, but mother nature gave us extra rain to make up for the shorter ride!:eek1
On Vancouver Island now drying out in Chemainus.
To get a similar idea, just put all your motorcycle gear on and jump in a pool and then try to get out as fast as you can.:lol3

I'm enjoying the photos, good ride report.
Meanwhile, the rain continues back home! You're having more fun there than we are back here.

Yes I know, not exactly roughing it, but after what we rode thru, camping was the last thing we wanted to do.

Went on the Horse Shoe Bay ferry. We both missed the turn off and had to back track a bit. My GPS wouldn't work as the cloud cover and rain was so heavy, the device couldn't lock a reliable signal. Finally cleared off enough we could enjoy the ferry ride.
