WRA, or Wet Riders Association. I think that we would qualify if such a club existed. Well over 24 hours of rain so far while in the saddle.:huh:huh

Rode from Prince Rupert to Stewart BC/Hyder Alaska. Even have the photos to prove it, but internet is really slow here at our motel.
2 hours of rain to Terrace. We were going a pretty good clip to run the rain, but nearby Terrace a RCMP cruiser kept us honest all the way to town.
Bullseye was trying to get a hotel booked since Prince Rupert but lots of locals said good luck trying to get one due to long weekend and the 4 day festivities between both places.
A gas attendant suggested another motel for us and bingo we didn't have to camp out in the rain with the bears:deal

From Terrace, we made the last leg to Stewart BC and Hyder Alaska:freaky.
A quick stop for fuel at Kitwanga and off we went. Managed of course to see a few more bears on the side of the road to tighten our sphincters, along with a moose and 2 younglings running alongside the highway. We paced with them for a few seconds, but I thought it would be wiser to move along lest we spook them in our direction.

Of course the weather turned sour on us near the two towns. We got the full meal deal of rain, sleet, and wind:eek1 but not before some amazing photos of the mountainside and smaller glaciers and some Drift video footage as well.

Off to Prince George today. Long leg around 700km. I will try to post photos from yesterday as it was yet again another highlight of the trip with lifelong memories.

Photo for photo...a guy and his gal wanted a photo at the Bear Glacier in exchange for them taking a photo for me. Bullseye was farther down taking some shots of his own.

A much prettier shot of just the bike.

Of course in tradition of our ride, we encountered wicked rain, gusting winds and even some sleet:eek1 a few km from Stewart. This dampened not only us but our spirits as we really wanted a break from the weather so we could make a run for Salmon Glacier which is off road only.:cry

Luckily mother nature eased up after dousing us and gave some excellent and needed sunshine.

We rode up 27km of twisty gravel roads with large potholes and ruts. No problem for Adventure Bikes, big problems for lesser bikes:D.

    And then this happened...

This is the fourth largest Glacier in Canada.
It puts the one near Banff to shame. Its hard to access and the road is a working road so it limits tourists to off road vehicles or 4 by 4 vehicles.

Over 1100 meters here at the snow line.
Pictures don't do the place justice. It is majestic and serene.
