    I absolutely agree.

I didn't use the Butler maps at all.

    Such is life.

Oh, and I had a great trip regardless.

Just getting caught up John. Great report! Really enjoyed your pictures. Looks like you handled the setbacks well. You sure covered a lot of miles. Looks like you did some great routing to get you to the places you wanted to visit within the time available. (Pesky jobs!) Nice mix. Looking forward to your next trip and report!

Yeah, having time constraints to work around is a drag, but it's my reality. There is a great deal to be said for just pointing the bike and watching the landscape change. I've got to hit Southern Utah and Northern Arizon again some time when it's dry. :lol3 I probably ought to do it with a lighter setup as well. :deal And frankly, after the mechanical issues I had early on I didn't want to find myself broken down (or injured) too far off the beaten path alone and that influenced my itinerary at bit. But I had a great time regardless! Glad you enjoyed the pictures!

I love all the rail pictures as well as the amazing scenery.

    Thank you, my dear!

Thanks, Klay! At some point I'll spend an entire trip camped-out waiting for train pictures. I'm not a foamer, but if I'd been born 30 years earlier that might not be the case..

    Thank you!

    Thank you very much!

It's funny, when I'm out I feel like I'm taking a bazillion pictures. Then I get back and realize that I didn't take very many at all in comparison to what I've seen. I'll try to be better about that.
