    Update:

    Shift times have uh, shifted.

First shift is officially 9:00a to 1:00p

Second shift is officially 1:00p to 5:00p

...first shift, let's plan on meeting in front of the Red Robin at 8:45a and then we'll launch out from there to where the course marshals will point us. Second shift... same place but roughly 12:30p as the race will already be in full swing and we'll probably need to hustle to the point where the first shift riders get relieved.

I think you've all got my cell ph number but any that don't please holler and I'll shoot it to you. Tx / Mike

I think another of you guys has a large beanie or similar helmet IIRC. If you've got it, please bring same and we'll be able to stash any extra helmet we might wind up with in the race director's ride or another safe place.

Thanks!... and please confirm that you all have rec'd the race director's email :thumb

Received the email from the director. Do I need to bring my extra full face helmet or do we have enough beanie style lids?

I have a flip-up to lend, any of you guys in or closer to Eagle River than Legion that can run it in? I'm leaving Sat morning in the opposite direction.

We'll need a total of two extra lids and Drunk Uncle has a Nolan N42 he's bringing which will be perfect. The full face jobbies probably wouldn't work too well for a woman that needs to shout at riders once in a while. I *think* that Tom327 said he's got a couple of beanies; an L and an XL.

Whichever of you have that L beanie (I'm guessing it's you, Tom, but not sure) please bring it and we'll be covered.

And thanks, ThatGuy. I think we're covered. :thumb

I'll send you a PM in two shakes that'll be the exact email, Tom.

I think we've got 'er covered, boss. Thanks for the offer!

See you early starters in front of the Red Robin at 8:45a and I'll be in the IHOP at the end of that strip mall row (same parking lot as R-Robin) at 8:00a hoovering down some pancakes. Drunk Uncle will be with me and I'm going to try catching up w/ you, too, Heli.

I just drove by a bunch of tri athletes. Not one rider looked anything like the pictures you posted. I think there was some false advertising going on. Barb

Thanks for the offer, Barb. The hat situation worked out perfectly.

That went as well as expected. Still, it was pretty fun, despite the low temperatures.

    Had a blast!

Enjoyed meeting folks face to face and helping out a bit. The riding was fun, weather was fine and so was the company :D Thanks for running the logistics Legion, sign me up again for next year!

    Get in line, dude! :thumb

legion, thanks again for facilitating our contribution to one of the signature and revered events in Alaska.

I learned more from 4 hours of conversation with my Marshall than I could've imagined. She's a coach/athlete herself, and radically inspiring. JT, you're great!

Thanks also to Bill and Sheryl, the other marshals, and my fellow riders. I look forward, backward, and side-to-side to next year.

    Drafting FTW! :clap

PING! Since 3/4 of the family just signed up for GNT 2013, I wanted to throw my helmet in the ring to help out again this year :evil

Right on! Same thing happened at my house, too. About 1/2 hour before sign up opens it's all... I wonder if I should do the GNT this year? Oh, my motivation blah blah blah...

10 minutes before the site opens though it's waaay more serious. Like "ok, I need to know. Can you log on yet 'cause I can't. Let's see who can get on first. You on? No? Try again. You on?" :lol3

I'll get squared away w/ Wild Bill and Jamie to see what the skinny is this year and thanks for stepping up! You guys all did an outstanding job last year!

Unfortunately I will not be able to help out this year. I will be enjoying 100+ degree temps during this event.
