I have an 86 Aspencade , Nice looking bike and in fair shape , really sucks in the handling department but the price was right so it sets in the garage unless I want a riding companion or I need to haul lots of luggage for a weekend . I usally take my big KTM for long distance road trips . SEYA

    I've had 2 GL1100s, still have a minty '81, but recently bought a '91 GL1500SE.

I've heard tell of the Gold Wing. Some say people ride them all over the place. Never seen one in the wild though. Thought they were like unicorns, often dreamed of but never seen.

Yes... replaced by V-Twin Cruisers. Gotta look kool you know! People wanting to put on serious highway miles usually opt for something else tho don't they.

Rented a GL1800 for the day recently. Have to say that it is superior to my GL1200 in every single possible way - fabulous piece of machinery that I really enjoyed riding. My wife was following in the car and commented that she was surprised at the way I was tossing it around. Now working on justifying the upgrade since the 1200 is half hers.

got this early last week. spent all day cleaning and polishing it (this picture is pre-) i need to get the carbs cleaned and sync'd and change the plugs. Has a really bad idle. Apparently it sat for 4 years.

No need to justify the 1800. Take her for a ride. She will be swayed. :evil
