good dual sport tire for sand

    Yep, a little over $100 here. Half the cost of a D908RR...although these used to cost $100 too.

    Its a 140 dirt tire, not a low profile street carcass so I run it on my SE rear rim.

    For sand, the rear tire doesn't matter much. I'd ditto the TKC80 front and MEFO rear. Both wear at the same rate, about 6-8k miles. But, you must pump them up to max on the street or you'll get bad cupping.

    The TKC80 works on the street about as good as the stock scorp. The MEFO is noisy on the street and I"m scared to push it much. I like the feel of these two bias tires off road though. The rear scorp radial feels weird off-road when aired down.
