I really respect your choice of vehicle, and especially that you're coming from an FJR. It reminds me of one of my favorite Einstein quotes: "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction"

But right now I think it's the 2012 Wee that calls out to me. It's a little bit bigger and a little bit longer legged I imagine. And a little bit better with a passenger and so on. I think part of the success of the Wee is that it's a sensible middle class bike that is a size "L" in it's packaging. A lot of other japanese medium sized bikes are so small you could lose them behind a set of tyres.

Yupp - I was considering that. Sadly though insurance is too expensive for me, insurance can be really weird where I live. It's up and down and all over the place for different bikes.

I had a very hard time decision wise between the 2 myself. If my dealer had gotten a '12 Wee in stock (which I had a deposit on), not sure what I would have done...

Either is a good choice for sure. The important thing is to get out and ride and enjoy :)

You have (had?) a 990 Adventure, and you had to ask :lol3? KTM 990 SMT, ABS model (left over 2012, or the new shiny black one)! You already know the engine, but it's much more powerful in the SMT, especially when TuneEcu'd, piped, and CPR airboxed :deal. Sublime suspension, very light, with kewl luggage. I've been all over on mine, even ghey dirt.
