I'm not sure if you have been following the test roll out of Google Glass but I'm thinking it could be very important to us as riders/wanderers.

    The possibilities are very cool.

Imagine a bluetooth connection to the bike giving you a HUD, and then maybe built in navigation.

One of the ideas is augmented reality, so imagine that line you normally see on a GPS map appearing to be on the actual street.

It's going to be hard to fit that earpiece under a helmet, but a HUD displaying NAV data would be cool.....

From what I have read it is NOT a HUD device. The screen is in the upper right corner of your vision (you can see that in the picture posted by the OP). Otherwise it is like a normal pair of glasses.

That said, some type of HUD displayed on the visor of a helmet would be wicked awesome :deal

I hope these things are banned everywhere. Not everything needs to be on video constantly, and even worse if you can't tell you are being filmed anymore, since every hipster and his mom wears huge glasses lately.

Seems like I've read somewhere that Google will NOT let you borrow, lend, or sell these devices. If you do and they find out, they'll turn it into just an expensive pair of sunglasses by remote control.

    Fuck Google Glass.

Well, yeah. Those are the terms to be a beta tester for what will be the next "how did you live without these" product. It's not like that will be the case when they go to mainstream availability.

Gotta have good stereo vision for that to work, and need to be able to decide which eye gets the viewer.

One the one hand, I kind of wish I didn't wear bifocals so that I could wear something like these.

On the other hand, privacy is a myth and these things just piss me off.

Seems like an enormous distraction for anyone operating a vehicle in traffic, or on a road or trail.
