Put the picture into a shared album. Go to the album and click on single picture. Right click the picture and select "Copy image address" Back on advrider, click the image url icon and paste into that....
I have started a google photo account. I cant figure out how to create new shared albums ? I created some sort of pictures, but cant now figure out how to take images from my Iphoto and add them into a newly created shared album. Im a complete computer novice, and need to be slowly walked one tiny step at a time. Im on a desktop Imac. I got lucky and posted a pic in the test section from my google photos.......but unsure how as other directions dont match what I see on my Imac. Biggest issue right now is how to create new google photo shared albums. THANKS ! ( if only computers were as easy as motorcycles to wrench on !)
If you have photos in https://photos.google.com Select the check box on a few photos. Click the + icon on the upper right Select Shared Album Select New Shared Album Type in a title name Done creating shared album...
Yep ! Got it ! But what a fuck load of shit ! I will write simple instructions on how to go from a image in Iphoto to uploaded in a shared album in google photo. Then how to post that google photo in a post on ADV Rider. I gotta go sit out back and drink lots of beer after I write the instructions! This is a big ball buster for a non computer guy with nobody home to take other wild guesses !!
OK. This is with a desktop Imac, and useing google photos shared photo albums. I start with pics I have doctored up in my Iphoto files. I then put a few pics from Iphoto off to the side of my desktop screen. I open Google Photos and create a shared album. Then simply drag the desktop photos onto the shared albums screen. It will upload the photos into the shared album automatically. Once your happy with a shared album and want to post those pics on ADV Rider, go and start a post on ADV Rider. To take a pic from a shared Google Photo album, ............... Open your google photo site ---------go to albums Left click on a shared album. Select a photo ------- right click on it ---- click open pic in new tab Then left click on the same pic to enlarge it Then right click on the enlarged pic ------- click copy image address. Then flip back to the ADV Rider page. --------- Click the little mountain scene icon on ADV rider page bar. You will get a pop up screen. Now go to the upper left top of your screen. -------- Click the "edit" word. Click paste. Click insert in pop up screen. Click post.
Can you guys see this picture? The problem I have is that I can see the pictures I post, but other people can't.
I will try as well. Can you please confirm if this is NOT visible to you? If so, i would like to know if you DON'T have a google account. I am trying to rule out the fact that only users of google services can see shared albums and pictures in it. Also if you are using Internet Explorer and DON'T see this picture, please let me know.

You're damn close... just use the picture button (to the right of the smiley, looks like a pic of mountains) and insert your link into the dialog box....
Thanks man! Been here 8 years, just figured that out. Couple more years and I'll consider starting a new thread.
Ok, your picture has disappeared. What that usually means is that the picture is not shared publicly, either directly or by virtue of being in a shared album. In Google photos go to the photo or the album (if you want the whole album public) and hit the share button, which is the "connect the dots" button at the top right of the window. This opens the share dialog. Click on the "Get Link" button. Clicking that button is all that is needed to make the photo/album visible to others when the photo is embedded. This next detail is important and some people blow past this, so I'm going to put it in big red letters.... The link you get from "Get Link" serves no purpose for embedding photos. Do not try to use it. The only reason you click this is to make the photo/album publicly viewable.
