to little beauties..!
Do you use the D2 balde knife regularly?
If so how does the edge hold up, how easy is it to sharpen, and what type stone do you use on it?
Just took delivery of this beauty:
This is "Number 100" by Chuck Gedraitis. What a gorgeous piece this is! The blade is 1095 carbon steel with an awesome hamon and the handles are annodized titanium with dovetailed gold lip pearl insets.
I only had time for the one quick picture last night and will be photographing it better later when I can play with the lighting - maybe this weekend.
Crappy cell phone pic of a bali song that I picked up while in the Army--sometime around 1986.
Orange scales rock!
hey, they are both new, but the D2 is the sharpest blade I had. Way sharper than the 1095 from the BK14.
Damn, Dale, that makes me all nostalgic for my Al Mar Tanto Balisong.
Worth the thinking about and reading...
Find your steel.
Here is my humble beginnings into the world of knives, which happened after having a week off work in which I spent way to much time in this thread. Decided to start with some color.
Nice! I am also drawn to the coloured ones. So sick of black G10....
I'd love a butterfly knife but there illegal over here .
Picked this up at WalMart - it is now my CostCo purchase dissasembly tool.
You have to play the video to get the full appreciation.
Link no worky..
It works fine for me.
Whoa! That HD 960 is sweet!
I have a red one, its my favorite and most used knife. It's a shame they dont make it anymore
Sure, now it works...
Do all BK2, 7, 9, 11 and 13 come with sheaths/cases? Have a hard time telling in Amazon.
Is there a better place to buy?
All Becker knives should, if bought new, come in a box with a sheath. At least that's how it was last time I saw some on the table.
Took delivery of this bali just before Christmas and finally got a photo of it yesterday. Blade Runner Systems "Alpha Beast":
Thanks, thought so. Just wanted to make sure.
