For mounting a Montana, there’s no need to waste money on the Touratech mount. It requires the Amps Rugged Mount anyway, and the TT mount is superfluous.

Is it locking? Not that it stops thieves.

Well, sort of. It has a security screw, and when you tighten that it makes it difficult to remove the device. The mount includes a tool to tighten / loosen the security screw. Everyone gets the same tool. You can also use an industry standard T10 security bit available at your local hardware store / home depot / lowes. etc.

FYI, I'm not saying I'd put any faith in the TT mount. If you want to secure a Montana, take it with you.

I have found a Montana 650, w/o any mounting apparatus - just a charger - No maps loaded - $350 CAN. Only slightly used.

Would this be a decent price?

For me, the camera is not an important feature, my cell phone is much better. If you are not concerned with the camera, Walmart has the next generation brand new current model 610 for $375 US.

Your link goes to the Oregon, not the Montana.

Good catch -> Rookie move on my part. I deleted it, as it wasn't the Montana.

Not a great price, as others have pointed out. $250 would be a reasonable price.

They actually took $100 off for some days. I wonder why they went back to the full price. Is there a thread for the 395LM?
