I went through Walkerton today before five and picked up the tag. Good thing. Today is Walkerton Day and there was a parade at 5:30. Here is the tag picture of the old bridge.

A few people starting to gather.

Lined up to parade across the river and into town.

I wanted to post the tag at a Restaurant I heard about outside of Kilmarnock but not enough time so a simple intersection to find. Just get the sign and your bike.

Close up of the sign. Tick Neck area.

    Field close to cutting.

West River Rd is nice in places, but short, I have yet to ride East River Rd. Do you know if it's paved from end to end. I believe that Green Level Rd is gravel where East River Rd ends, but I'm not certain. Do you know? I've been meaning to check out that end of my street. ;)

Now that I think of it, did you by chance travel southbound on Mt. Olive Cohoke yesterday (Sunday) around 9-ish, turning left on Green Level? If so, you may have seen a fat guy that looks a lot like me gasping for air as he pedaled northbound on Mt. Olive. :ricky I saw someone on a dualsport make that left as I was approaching.

It's pretty much all paved down that way. I'll ride ride road bicycle over there and circle down to Mobjack and back home. Past the old Mathews dump is good. I have not been for awhile. Kinda sick, still have a nagging caugh and was mountain biking before that. At nine Sunday morning not me riding. Evening quickly before dinner to place the tag. I have the DR and a gray '09 Vstrom 650. I spend too much time working and house/zoo stuff. I plan to escape when October rolls around. If there are no hurricanes. Wanted to ride the Shenandoah 500 this year but the 1st is a Saturday. No time off for me until Oct 1.

    And the drop...

A bit closer to the "burg" for most people.

BTW, great people here, and will mount and balance tires (off the bike) for about $20. If you are like me, that beets all the cussing and throwing things by a mile.
Bring your own tires (owners suggestion) unless you want Shinkos (he's a shinko dealer).

I'll be going right by there, as I do every morning, at about 0230 hrs.....in my truck.

Too many damn (too damn many?) deer lining the road at that hour. :eek7

Those deer get around... I see them all down Farm Road, 33, 14 and 17 around midnight every night... on the bike.
I have had to stop in the middle of 33 and honk at them to get out of the road more than once. King and Queen county seems to have the most deer who want to play chicken.

I like Screamin Motorsports. Nice guy. I don't go through there enough to order from him. But will have to change. May be order a Shinko 804 for the front of the DR. I would be in no hurry. I did buy my fork oil from him. He carries what Cogent recommends.

Nice day for a ride. Some road and some gravel. So a new tag around the corner and up the road.
