Shady, my nephew played at NAU for four years and all he wanted to do was beat the Griz....never happened.

Your school has one hell of a program!

    Good luck through the playoffs.

Has Montana won the Championship before? Is the Big Sky a strong conference in 1AA?

Twice, 1995 and about 2003. Mrs Shady a UM alum went to Chattanooga for the most recent championship game.

In 1995 that was the last time Stephen F Austin came to Missoula during the playoffs.

We beat them 70-14. They don't have too gooda luck up here in the great white north. :evil

Big Sky always tough in 1AA. Montana is about the mecca of AA ball (now called FCS). 60,000 people in the town, with a 24,000 seat stadium that is sold out forever. Pretty cool here that way.

I wonder what the record is for unanswered points in consecutive games??

Also, going from 5:40 of the 3rd quarter last week to 5:40 of the third quarter this week, the Griz scored 88 points unanswered.

That's 88 points of offense by one team in the duration of a single football game.

    Holy shit.

They won't shut out App State. But Montana sure sounds awesome. I'm thinking they'll beat App State and its hobbling QB.

We've had our troubles with App state. Seems like they tend to have big, grinding offense that wears us down.

But unless things change by the weekend, hell it's going to hit -20 this week. Gameday might have a weather factor.

They don't know -20 (does anyone? :huh) but they're in the mountains of North Carolina and they know cold.

They're not big on offense, they're fast. Really fast. It's a pity QB Armanti Edwards is hurt. He's an excellent passer but his running was a vital part of their offense.

Their defense was downright horrible earlier in the year but firmed up late. Montana may expose them, though.

If they have any weakness on D, we'll find it. Might be 2nd half, but we'll find it. Griz adjust very well during the game.

I do. Unfortunately. One breath and the snot freezes inside your nose. Five minutes and you have muscle failure in your fingers.
