The answer for me is to look ahead, watch where the hell I'm going, and if I think its going to fuck up my shit I avoid it.

Although, there is nothing more fun to watch than some half out of control dumb ass turn himself into an instant pedestrian.

    Folks,

The insurance has written off the bike. Since it was comprehensively insured, the owner needs to take a hit of about $135.

It seems that in order to get the bike back into shape it cost the agency North of $8,000.

Sound Guy! are you the Argentinian or Axel?

If I dropped my Tenere off a 6ft cliff it would create a meteor size crater and it would crumble beyond recognition after impact.

I can’t imagine dropping a bike that heavy off of any height, of any brand.

    Hello Folks,

"the oz slider' - nope, this was not a show off moment, the rider is a very talented bloke, indeed, this was not his day.

The earlier quote was only for parts, the agency has since added labour costs to the equation, it's seems that the bike is totalled and will be a write off.

The total cost would be in the region of $ 20K - Heck! thats the price of a new bike!

You can't seriously be thinking that the forks breaking is a problem with the bike. How 'bout we drop you off a 6' ledge onto your head and see if your forks (vertebrae) break? I suspect they would thus by your logic there would be something wrong with the manufacture of you???
I think MouthFullOfLake had it right on page three.

It's a BMW GS - you're supposed to get some dakar stickers off ebay and ride thru mud puddles and never wash your bike :rofl

Isn't this parking lot where the term "Oh Snap!" was coined?

Guess he'll be mopping up that fork oil with his dew rag in a millisecond or so.

Is that what is refered to as "culling the herd"?

I am NOT an ATGATT guy personally. But if I am doing stoppies out on the front wheel, no matter how good I think I am, I am gonna throw on a bucket and maybe some kind of jacket...:lol3

That's the ultimate action shot! I don't read lips but I can still tell what he's saying :evil.

Glad the guy who totalled his R1200GS is OK and the insurance covered the bike. That was a pretty big hit, small wonder it broke, and glad the Big Pig didn't land on him and totally ruin his back or something.
