GS800 pricing

    Sat on an F800GS. nice ergos and pleasantly much lighter than the 12GS. I still cant understand how a company can make bikes with such terrible seats. The 800 seat slants towards the tank and looks to be a nut crusher.

    Try the low seat. Mine came with it, else I'd have never tried it. It's real comfy, and no slide-to-the-front issues. Oh, and I'm 6' even and it doesn't feel too low.

    And actually, I care how much you paid. Up here in Canuckistan, mine is gonna be over 16 out the door. Is it a tax difference? Seein our dollar is pretty well about on par I'm wondering who is stealing my money.

    As I understand it, the pricing was set from the initial (speculative) anticipated release date. Even though the world money markets have changed a bit since then, they stuck to the pricing.


    That's why I'm buying mine this year, even though I'd really rather have waited until next season. I expect them to be a fair bit more once prices are adjusted (in the US market, that is).

    What are you guys bitching about, mine is costing me $18130 with OBC,centre stand, heated grips and all on road costs, but no ABS, thats an extra $1265!!! If you want getting ripped off, Australia is fucking king!!:deal:deal

    I have a good friend in Aussie and I have to admit you guys get shafted!!!! Take any MSRP here in the states, cut that price in half, add that back to the MSRP and you have yourself the Aussie price!!:D
