Man I swear I know that tree... think I had a beer under it last Saturday night... somewhere between NY and MA in CT on the way to the Berkshires???? 21? 22? Forget the name of the road... hmm?

I don't remember exactly where I took that shot, but it was in the finger lakes of NY, either just west of Seneca lake or Keuka lake. Most likely it was on one of the many side-roads off 54A (which is a very nice road provided you're not there on a weekend), probably nearest to Pulteney. I tend to wander around there a lot.

Flugmonster, thanks for confirming my suspicions.

ahem. while I'm not a big fan of Jesse bags, or whatever those are, and those lights up front look like the elcheapo ones dizave had, or has, (his bike sucks) and those back rests really scream overpriced gizmo IMHO, the red seats, and the GPS mount flipping a metalic bird at you, me, or even rabia, overcomes what would have been a loser. the fact that its black is probably the deal breaker. a mandarin would have sucked.

welcome to the club motorcyclejoe. this gs, does not suck.

Thanks for passing me, I hated the Jesse bags at first too, used to make fun of a buddy of mine, constantly and said those ugly things will never be on my bike. Of course through time, they grew on me and I ended up with them. Now very glad I did, they are tough and functional for the type of riding I do. All of my friends now have them on their machine and put one great final touch, is ryino lining. They've had their bikes fall over, with out a scratch.

On the back rest I've done much research and have found that many back rests reminded me of the errector set I had as a kid and felt they were over priced. I love the quality look and functionality of the backrest I've purchased. I've noticed it takes much stress off my grip, and noticed I have full functionality in my hands after a 2000 mile run, where a buddy of mine had bandages covering his hands after the run from blisters. He is too looking into this back rest. Best on the market as far as I'm concerned. Order direct you'll save a bundle.

As for the lights, all high tech except the lights themselves. My bike is equiped with the autoswitch, very neatly wired in and can change my lites with a couple bolts and two plugs. For lites $49, 55 Watt lites that do the same as $300 lites. Plus If I experience a rock chip, I can purchase a whole new set for half the price of just one PIAA. With those sucky BMW Stock headlight system, there's no way I'd ever have made it through the mountains at night with out them. My riding buddy that sports PIAA's said it looks like a star coming at him. I'll sport PIAA's the day I can justify why they are any more than just a name. I think Diz Dave knows, what he's doin.

I also shopped around for light bars. I couldn't find one under $99 so I machined my own out of aluminum found in the local hardware store, I have $4.95 + paint in my light bar. Looks factory and have had guys who sport the $99 plus ask me where I bought my bar, since they thought I purchased in online. Not to mention the fun I had making it, to prove a point to a bud of mine.

    Thanks for the Positive Waves.

hey zero zero. I never did rate yours. from what I can see, you've got the windscreen back further than the stock further back position. that always looks, how do you say in spanish, geeky? anyway, not much to work with, but its a mandarin and not much can save them anyway. zero zero, your bike sucks. take a seat in the bleachers.

    next.

I'll get to you KBasa, I'm still having mixed feelings on the GS12, but for some reason your pics are swaying me towards not sucking. does it wheelie as easy as they say? have tina try it if you can't get it up.

Actually, the pic was taken by that Dizave doofus, just a couple hours before managing to crash on a stopped bike, dislocating his shoulder and ruining our ride. :rofl

I'm still doing the break in thing, but yeah, it'll loft it without trying too hard, especially over some little whoops up on Lucas Valley Road.

    500 miles right now.

:jump Maybe Nachtflug should extend his rating service to all Adventure Bikes. It could really get interesting then. You might need some assistants for that. Are you up to the task? I will volunteer to be an assistant judge for KTM's. Of course you would have veto power on any bike as you see fit.
