Any of you guys tried getting custom leather at Velocity Sports Gear? Was thinking about getting some pants made by them.

Ahem.....Let's see. Must tread lightly so as not to make anyone else cry.

I am the OP for the Zdeno Experience thread. I requested it be tossed. We have a sympathizing rat among us. That 1% of satisfied customers I guess. There was a phone call, words were said, emotions expressed, that sort of thing. No bad words, threats or anything lawyery but I did get a chance to say how I really felt about things. That's all I needed. Life goes on.

I suggested she go Google herself. If one gets upset about my tame, boring thread then please do not read what else is out there. It might prove fatal. At least take your heart pills first.

    I'm ordering a FYYFF decal.

    Have a nice day. :1drink

    The truth is out there

While not directly answering your question, Loctite is sold at industrial supply places like Fastenal Fasteners, Canadian Bearings, Safety Supply places etc. The crap is expensive though. If you only need a few drops you might try getting a sample pack or find a small container and ask for a couple drops from your local bike shop or garage. Maybe bring donuts. :D

Any car parts store or Canadian Tire. 243 is also commonly called Loctite "Blue", it's the most common. Oil Resistent, Medium strength, can be undone with Hand tools. Any other brand will work well also.

Loctite 271, "Red", is high strength, need heat or high force to undo.

After that, things start getting into the industrial supply category where suddenly you're looking at $100 bottles of stuff you'll never use before it goes bad.

the blue loctite 242 is the common stuff. 243 is the newer formula that is oil resistant. the canadian tire locations I have been in only carried the Permatex blue. its expensive but for a small tube it cant be that much.

    Hi,

I would like to try on some Rev'it gear. I see that Rider's choice in Mississauga is the only dealer around here.

Anyone can comment on their stock? I'm in Orillia so I don't want to make a long drive to an empty store. I sent them an e-mail, didn't get an answer.

    Thanks

    Oops. You're correct.

Fastenal has 243 in the states in 10ml for ~$15, 0.5ml single use packets for ~$2.50. The 50ml bottle is ~$50. Maybe they'll order the smaller bottle?

Good luck with that. Any Fastenal I've dealt with lately won't let you buy stuf like that anymore. If you want one of the small bottles you'd have to take the whole case. Can't buy just a few bolts anymore, need to buy by the 100's

I navigated the Fastenal site and chose a random Toronto location as "my store" and got:

    http://www.fastenal.com/web/Search.ex?action=productSearch&searchterm=loctite+243

On the home page just click the top Canadian English location button and chose "your store".

Maybe try another location. I ordered 1 of this and 2 of that in Stainless bolts no problem. Total order like $5. They had to order a 50 pack of each to sell me one. Had my GF pick them up and they gave her the wrong bolt so I re-ordered. They couldn't be bothered to restock the wrong bolts so they told me to keep them. Cambridge location.

    YMMV
