Father has recently put together a small machine shop and got him to make me some toys!
Fix'em bits for your BMW center stand frame mounts.
Funny, I ordered a similar set from wirewrkr yesterday for my /5.
We looked at his, and a few other designs and made our own designs. I did grind the nut portion so the springs would pass by. Because of the clearance I could not make them the full length of frame and still fit between the frame and oil pan. So thats the reason for the support washers.
Seem to work pretty good.
I knew what those were right off the bat!
I found it easier to buy the parts from Wireworker than to have someone make them up for me, plus I'd rather support a fellow ADV member than an outsider.
Either way, you got parts, so go fix your center stand!
Actually got them on last week!
Think my dad was happy to have a project for his new machines!
edit, BTW, wirewrkrs prices are GREAT for the amount of work that go into these.
Fine Brain, you may have missed that he made these with his dad. While supporting a fellow inmate is great, I'll suggest that spending quality time with dad solving this puzzle is even better.

LOL, we looked at them and the amount of space we had to slip between the frame and oil pan was small enough that there would have been alot of "gap" and wiggle room in there. The extra positioning washer was to solve that problem. If we had the engine out/pan off, I would have made them the full length of the frame.
But BIG PROPS to the original idea. And NO, pops is not going to be making these for sale! So you are still safe in your monopoly!

It wouldn't have been much more to remove the engine mounts, move the engine over, install the bushings and re-install the through-bolts. Just sayin'.
But I'm sure the 'split' solution works just as well.
My centerstand still works (trick is to be religious about keeping the pivot bolts snugged and the bushings oiled), but if I ever need to repair I'd go to 'Wire. In fact, I might make a pre-emptive purchase for them fix'em-bits.
Mine were toast before I ever thought of buying a bike. At some point they were drilled tapped, and helicoiled. Lets just say this is not a good application for that.
