I would very much like to try out a Norge. I've sat on a few and like the ergos and many things about Guzzis. I didn't gel with the Stelvio too well but maybe the Norge might hit the spot???

Otherwise, I've always lusted after a LeMans Mrk 1.

Give me a shout sometime and you can take mine for a spin. I'm just down the road from you a bit. I may be up that direction on the 9th as we (PGR) may be doing a welcome home that evening.

The Rosso Corsa and green and tan Griso are such good looking bikes! I'm very happy with my new Norge, but man those are some HOT looking bikes!

    Well crap, that's just awesome!
I've seen it before, even on the road once (I'm close to Italy so Guzzis happen)
Even if I'm more of a Breva person.. I just love how that thing looks!
Would love to hear about reliability (850 and 1100 too).

I could live with a Breva 850, no problem! :deal

I sold my 09 BMW r1200rt a couple of months ago because I just wasn't riding it much - the Dorsoduro is just too much fun in town. :rofl However, I suffer from multiple bike syndrome and I was able to rationalize that I needed a light touring bike (lite as opposed to light if you know what I mean) for the weather protection, saddle bags, etc. I ride year-round up here in the Pacific North Wet.

I've had of course the RT, a couple of ST110s and a 1200 Trophy and thought I would try something different.

My Aprilia dealer is also a well-renowned Moto Guzzi dealer (Moto International) and I had seen a couple of interesting models showcased in this thread (1200 Sport, V7 Classic). I visited M-I one day and saw a white 2009 California Vintage on the floor. Took it for an hour long test ride and although not exactly smitten the way I was when I rode the dorsoduro I thought that I could adapt to the cruise mode. But alas the '09 bike was out of my price range. So I started researching and found that the California model has been around for a loooooong time and there are many variations. I started searching and researching and decided to look for a 2002-2004 MY bike.

The next time I walked into M-I, image my surprise to see this sitting on the floor:

    Which now belongs to me.

Holy shit! :eek1 A new '04 EV! Man did you score, and getting it from Moto International you can be assured of a properly setup bike. Congrats.

Holy Shit? That's putting it mildly. The negotiations went like this:
Me: What's the story on the new 2004 bike?
Dave: Well, it's a new bike that a Moto Guzzi dealer turned back in to Moto Guzzi.
Me: Does it have a warranty and all that?
Dave: Just like a 2011 bike.
    Me: OK I'll take it.

And then the dealer was first like: ":huh"
    Then you were like: ":deal"
    Then the dealer was: :eek1:clap
    Then you were..: ":ricky

Next time finish the story yourself, damnit!

I have been lusting hard over a black V7 Classic at my local dealer, I really shouldn't buy it right now but the little devil is back on my shoulder that got me to buy my WRR and the bastard is hard to ignore...

    Wow, what a find!

I have to say, a white California Vintage is one of my dream bikes (and the only v-twin cruiser I would seriously consider owning). I currently have a pic of one as the background on my monitor.
