Historical MCC (Kingaroy) annual Bunya Rally is on next weekend at Kumbia.

I'm going out Sunday for a look, travelling out via Kilkivan, Murgon and on down to Kumbia. After lunch and a look at the old bikes at Kumbia, head home through Nanango, West Branch, Elgin Vale and Kandanga. I'll scout out as much gravel road as I can but may be up to 40% bitumen.(minimal hwy) 3-400 ks all up. Nothing tricky, slow pace.

The historical rally will be back at Kumbia sportsground for lunch, so should be a few bikes to look at.... I'm told there was about 60 last year. BYO lunch or take your chances at the rally, servo or pub.

Anyone care to go for a look?

Depending on the above I could be interested.

How does 7.30 at the Woolies Caltex (on the hwy not far from Hungry Jacks) sound?

Or 9.00 at the corner of Running Creek Road (and I'll be punctual this time)

    Hope you can make it.

Running Creek intersection sounds great. :clap:clap

I have permission the only thing I need now is an exhaust washer between the header and mid pipe and I am all yours for Sunday. The washer was ordered last week. So hopefully, I ride Sunday.:eek1

Will let you know for sure.

I was thinking about seeing if anyone from around the sunny coast was interested in meeting up with the guys for the bike show, and doing a rather tough route home through Monsidale Rd. In about 3 places the creek is about level with the seat on my XR at the moment, so it's not for the faint hearted, but help will be on hand.

Or we can do it on the way there.

You mean through Louisaville Smithy, from Linville to Monsildale?

Or another off road section of Monsildale?

You've got me there mate. Will have another look on the gps and get back to you. I remember a sign or two to Linville but that's about it. Sean should be posting some pics on the 650 page shortly. You might recognise it from the pics, but I will check anyway.

Quite a few creek crossings, loose gravel and closed gates, and go right next to a cattle property house t the Monsildale end?

Can't do it on the Tranny as the air filter is too low and can't ride the Berg too much at the moment. Wondered how the creek through there was after the flood this year.

Yeah fair call mate. The spot where i lost the main track, for about 5 km all I was thinking was "you cant go back" so would be pushing the luck a bit.

    Sorry for the hijack Dave.

Home at 4.45pm. Gav's batteries in my GPS lasted to Woolooga. But your verbal directions worked perfectly, Dave. Pei Rd was way too short. That was pretty country.

Thanks for the day fellas. I enjoyed the run from Kumbia down through all those causeways over the Brisbane River.

The old bikes at Kumbia were also very interesting.
