Yo..F&K the Mangoites..... Doin' fine...Hope to see you all soon(er)!
Thanks for the invite...Oregooooonn is a looonng way. Sam has re-routed the trail with new maps unless his "new" map is now obliterated with downed trees...aarrgghhh...I got an axe.
Hello Mr. Cob..you still in Merry Good England or still guffawing Biere de Belgiue? To let you know that I did indeed spend the $$$ in having my FD ratio reduced(3.0-1). Oh, Mensch, what a difference!
In this southern TAT heat...I ride naked...no one's on the trail.
Cheers Amigo....when are "we" gonna ride together?? Stay AC'ed and enjoy!
Oh, HI TOM....so how did my old DRZ do on the eastern portion? I take the Ark warning under advisement.
Oh, Amigo por favor...the TAT= http://www.transamtrail.com/about/
So much better explained by the above...till I explain mine someday.
Howdy Oly....I hope in entertaining you but a SURPRISE is in store....:huh?
Thanks for the wishes. Haven't seen a soul on the TAT except dog, cats, deer...and lotsa "big" bugs flyin' into my open faced helmet...eecchh! I guess most TAT'ers are shunning Tenn, Miss but doin' roostertails in Ark.
Hola Ace, my man....si, si that is the problem...no Fraulein.....
BMW sayz= ppffff....pfui !! Nah, just kiddin' . Love Urals.........
Yep...did the correct thing this time. I actually wrongly copied the route on Mapsource by accident last year. Posted the picture to get your attention in case you oogled here......you got a keen eye for details. Good luck on your ride from the left off TAT. Ride safe...God bless.
Easily handles gravel when your whole hog n' me weight 1100+ pounds, but dunno the sandy and too soft areas haven't encountered these yet.
Easily ride at 45+ mph on straight gravely roads. Most challenges have been the ascends which take a bit of body English in order for the one wheel drive to "bite". Shiftings are usually in the 2-3 gear and often times in 4th gear on straightways. I reduced my FD to 3.0-1 which makes a helluva difference. The bike chuggs like a tractor in either 1 or 2nd gear.
ah, what an interesting part of our country
you are truly going to see AMERICANA at its most "exposed".... kudos to you for taking on this challenge
if that isn't the most classic example of.... THE DEAF TRYING NOT TO OFFEND THE BLIND
Hmmnn....I wish you did...!
How about this one?
At least those folks keep the road picked up.
Elmer, I'm sure Sharon wishes she was there to give you encouragement. But you've got us!!
So chin up. You'll get in the swing of things real soon. Maybe just a day or two more.
you are right.....
this one is FAR WORSE:
