A very wet Corkie & Maddie on the ride to the Rich Mountain Rendezvous 2013:
I've been watching this thread for YEARS now, and I'm FINALLY ready to contribute
Picked up this KLR/Sputnik rig from Red Menace yesterday, and today......doggies get to go !!!!
The smile says it all! Congrats!
Looks like a lot of fun....great deal on that rig...
My pit bull/monkey mix "Bella" in the Polaris sidecar of my 85 Honda "Night-HACK"
Only just come back to have a look at the sidecar page on ADV rider after many years away, cant see anything about Red Menace....HOW IS HE? Johnny Wolvo.
I have had Anni May one week today, she is starting to get used to sitting in the hack and she tried out her new Doggles today.
Red Menace is GREAT!! I think there was just not enough of us types to make Sidecar Adventure work in the real world. Sad, indeed, because it gonna be a HOOT !!!
Our kids' Doggles are in, and ready for action
not much help when it comes to rejetting carbs. notice carb missing
I saw this post from Wingfixer over in the Uraling the Great Divide ride report and thought it should be posted here. We all have dreams....
We were helping for a documentary (by the director of Best Bar in America (a future cult movie IMHO)), it was freezing cold but our 2 Beagles performed well!
Ha! Thats Godzilla. He has been a house guest of mine a few times.
I just got my hack last week. I took my pup for her first ride today. She loved it.
Congrats on the pup's new ride.
Yeah. I can see your pup liked it.
Looks like the dog liked it too!
Grats on the new hack! Looks good!
Gunner looks a little terrified on his first ride.
Daisy looked a little braver, but seemed equally scared once we were underway. She usually needs to be coaxed to get in the Jeep so I am not too surprised with her, but Gunner usually loves car rides so maybe he will have some potential.
Great pics everyone!
I'm living vicariously through all of you until I get a side hack setup.
I have a CB550 that I'm hoping to work on this year and add a sidecar to.
Need to finish before my dog gets too old, he is 13 now!
Get moving! A velorex would be a good mate for your 550. You'll need a subframe.
Be careful with your elderly pooch. I have two dogs, one 3 and the other 13. The 13 year old is game, but her hips are going, and the bounciness and side-load of the sidecar is hard on her. They use a lot of muscle staying upright and gripping the floor of the tub. I took her for a couple rides around the 'hood, and even though she enjoyed it, she was sore all the next day. She has to stay home now
The 3 year old is resilient and his joints can take some abuse, being so young. Just think if you were driving the sidecar- would it be easier if you were a teenager, or in your 80s?
