I am in. Shall I work on a route and post? You like 7/11 gut grenades like me? Seriously, plenty of hot meals to be had across the area.

Here is a route that can be shortened as needed. I have run all of these roads a few times and some good curvy stuff down by the rivers and scenic with battlefields if, you are interested in history, along with a stop to look out over the bay in Gwynn's Island. Picked the Yorktown Museum as a start and Jamestown as a finish. a ride down the parkway and you are back where you started. this is approximate and not actual. There are some roads I could not get onto the map. Anyone interested? Screen Shot 2017-11-15 at 9.29.05 AM.png

too ambitious a route for a short winter day. with the usual delays of a group ride, plus a leisurely lunch, you'd have to leave and return in the dark. Gwynn's Island too far out of the way, and only limited water views once on the island, plus the restaurant is closed if anyone was looking for a break. if you want long water views, ride out to Windmill Point.

I doubt he will... he already let me freeze at the S500 while I was hoping for his fancy RV :brow
As far as I know he is currently taking a riding break. Not sure for how long though... otherwise yeah, he is still on the track. For the dirty nuts he is getting too old :kat

I may make an attempt to make the NYD ride. Depends on if I get up to my dad's to pick my bike up.

So who all is going to the Trail ride Next Sunday?

Good to see a NYD ride coming together. I’ll be with you in spirit. Have a couple issues keeping me off the bikes for awhile and we’re moving to Atlantic Beach (JAX) soon. May have some stellar deals posted in the flea market shortly.

    Enjoy evryday you can ride.

Sorry you won't be able to make it, hope things get better for you very soon.

I am always up for the NYD ride, if the weather isn't super nasty.

Maybe some of us Southside folks could meet at the usual WaWa on Holland and ride up together.

Thanks Man, Everything is good, pushed my knees a bit too hard climbing the Stairtowers on the ship. Just need to be patient with the tendon recovery and it's time for knee braces when I ride off pavement. As for the bikes, the VStrom will be going on the chopping block soon, along with my '79 320i project car. But I'll probably keep the KLR to stay in practice. Just need to figure out why my hip hurts when I'm on it. I'm not going to be home long enough to ride much the next couple of years, so I'll have a nice nest egg for my next bike when I'm ready for it.

    Happy Turkey Day.
