Ok, well I got my suspension back and am currently putting it back on the 640 so I though I'd go ahead and start this thread.

I thought it would be a fun day if we all took our dual sports out to Slades Offroad Park in Surry.. It's $15 for the day.. Slades has some double track trails, a big open sandy area and a good bit of mud for those who want to wallow in the sloppy stuff :lol3 A word of warning though, Don't go blasting through any mud holes unless you've checked the depth already.

I would probably want atleast a 50/50 tire on the bike to go out there.. I wouldn't think it would be much fun with a street oriented tire.

I'm open for dates if anyone wants to suggest one.. I figure a few weeks out to give people time to prepare :D So maybe Saturday March 21st, or Sunday the 22nd? What does everyone else think? We can make this a rain or shine even, or we can just go on a nice day.. The sand will be easier to ride in if it's wet though :lol3

    I'll go!!!

    Who's got a dirtbike I can borrow??? :lol3

Don't know if the Wee would make me say "weeeee" too much in that terrain......especially with the Tourances.

Then again I am insane, so I may show up anyhow.
Anyone carry a tow rope and know advanced first aid???

Well I vote the 15th now, we have a friend that was supposed to come up this weekend, but had to postpone her trip till the 21st :lol3

So if everyone else is cool with it, we'll make the day on the 15th instead.

Oh and I Funified my 640.. I just got to ride it around the block for the first time and I have to say with the new suspension the handling is better and after the carb mods I did I can easily loft the front wheel in 1st and 2nd.. I'm goign to get arrested :lol3

Haha 2 up on the wee with street tires in the sand.. I think I'd remove all the turn signals before heading out there if I were you :lol3 Does your Wee have a skid plate? You may drag it's belly through some sand when going over some of the woops out there.

As far as the date goes, nothing is set in stone and we can always go out there more than just once.

I already "removed" the front turn signals in a parking lot in Maryland. :eek1 "it was at a funny angle"

And no, no skidplate as of yet :cry Soon though!! Hopefully before LF Camp Out. If we came out we would just be passing through, say hello, maybe try and bum a ride off someone. The little enduro that could is the next bike I will be bringing to the stable. Momma wants a few things for around here first, then it's on. Thinking smallish DR or XR.

Well if you got a little dr/xt/etc you could toy around on it and then teach the girl how to ride... :evil and then you could be a gentleman and let her have the little bike, but you know, since you don't have a bike anymore, you absolutely must have a KTM525 or somesuch to be able to ride with her.. its a bonding activity you know... :evil You need a sweet enduro bike just so you can spend more time with her etc... Hey could work right? :clap

Alright, I'm thinking meeting at the McDonalds in Smithfield, leaving to head to Slades around 10AM? Unless you guys want to meet earlier.. We can ride for as long as everyone wants, then maybe swing by Jebs for Dinner on the way home? What does everyone think? :ear Oh, post up if you think you'll make it.. just so we have a clue as to how many people are going to come play in the sand/dirt :lol3
