I both nod and wave .even at night.
They are likely having a "rest"... tired forearms from all this incessant waving at folk...
Yes, but I suspect that if they are on an HD you intentionally over-cook it.
You're overthinking it. Probably hand motion is a minor wave, then hand on knee. I've done that on my dual sport. I acknowledge others. I just don't do the big Mickey Mouse wave...
Whereabouts do you normally ride? I could go for a steak.
i wave at everyone, even and especially scooters, unless i'm downshifting quickly or in a really technical section of road. i don't expect a return wave. if my wave pisses you off, consider it my little gift supporting you in your dedication to antipathy!
Yesterday I saw a kid looking despondent in the back seat of a car with his family, staring at me as I rode by. He lit up when I waved at him.
I do that VERY often. Little boys really love it!
That's how I do it too.
Oh come on Andy, Brit humour (correct spelling!) is totally lost on these morons, & anyway, as most Yank (as in ham shank!) guys are shirt lap lifters anyway, they deffo won't "get it!":huh
PS, I only wave at non-cruiser bikes, & even BMW's if l'm in a good mood!
With a handle like your PB l'd be careful about waving at children!!!!
It seems I hand out more of those on Sundays.
I often ride with my hand on my knee, and I usually give a big five fingered dorky wave just cause.
If you're taking it personal that someone else doesn't wave back, or gives you a pirate diss, you're doing it wrong. Ride to have fun, fuck what anyone else thinks.
Well isn't he just a man's man!
But would you willingly wave at this stranger!?!?!?:huh (NO!, it's NOT me!)
+1 on both points.
I figured it out!
We have our middle finger advrider salute, right. It signifies that we just don't give a shit or whatever.
Well the cruiserforum guys have one too apparently. Theirs signifies "come sit on my lap"...
Wanna really trip their triggers, give 'em the He Man Woman Haters Club hi sign:
Really gives 'em the giggles!
Awesome! I was coming back from Woodmans in Essex, Mass http://www.woodmans.com/ with my Parents, and my sister, in something like 1967, and I saw about 100 Hells Angels pulled over on the side of Rte 128! I don't remember what car we were in, but wherever it is, there is a permanent imprint of my face on the passenger side rear window!!! It was so fookin cool!!
Did they have Starbucks back then? Where could they have been going?
