I fear it would be too big. I am going to get the short/flat version of that box eventually I think.

I am considering one also for commuting with, it would be a great place to stow my riding gear once I get to work. I am going to have to mock something up with cardboard to see how bit it really is in relation to the bike.

I have been looking at purchasing one also but have the same concerns as you. If you look in the pictures to me the thing just seems huge. I think the straight cut one is something like 47 L if I remember right. I do need to get one though

it would be rather large, the big prob though would be how you pack it. You can fit so much stuff in there that you'd turn the klr into a wheely machine. here is how the short top box looks.

Thanks for the pics!! I like the looks of your top box . It looks like it is about the right size for the bike but still plenty of storage.

I bought one, it's big but I don't think it's too big. Same height as my 40L Seal line bag that sits in front of it. Deffinitly not for trail riding though.

If you are considering a plastic box such as a Givi, you might want to check out Bestem T-Box. I have used several of them and the newest version comes with tail and brake lights. The price is right too. <$150.00.

I have the 43 Liters - 14"x17"x12" version. It holds a FF helmet when parked, keeps a expensive Western Mountaineering sleeping bag + other clothes dry when travelling, etc. The tapered bottom allows for MSR fuel bottles to be hose clamped on also.

Glad to see my case is being put to good use! It was a little large for my taste.

I replaced it with a smaller coo-case from twisted throttle.

    Both were quality!
