Woo Hoo! The days are getting longer now. :clap

Cold and Dark, This time of year,
the Earth lies dormant, awaiting the return of the Sun,
    and with it, Life
Far beneath the frozen surface, a heartbeat waits,
until the moment is right, to Spring

Embrace the Night, seek out the Light, for it shall guide our spirits onward to our Dreams.

    Blessed Be

Love and Peace to our ADV Family!

    Well said my friend.

Thank God the days are getting longer! I can deal with the cold and rain and the wind, but the damn dark steals my sense.

The winter solstice arrived yesterday and today we are working in t-shirts. I think someone fooled us into believing it's winter, when in actuality, it's spring.

    Yippee, the light returns :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

No kidding I just got back from a couple hour ride on the Montesa. The sun was shining through the timber and my ATGATT included Carhartt bibs and a Tee shirt. It is still 55 degrees out here.

I like the way u think.

Was doing just that last evening on the upper patio. Burning through some 300 y.o. mex mesquite in the chimenea. Looking up at the stars here (there are a lot of stars here) I find a new mini-Dipper to the south, low maginitude. Can't see it directly, have to look off-angle. But its there, 6 or 7 stars who-the-hell knows how far away. I like big spaces, I can feel them. The ones overhead are a real stretch.

The only place bigger than baja at night is right there overhead.

Feliz Navidad Ol' MB. You'd fit right in here.

Ran 4 laps on our new local TT-style mex racetrack. Plenty fast, needs water and rolling. Then 2 mins after I get my helmet off, a ranchero literally rolls down the main straight, over the 2 meter jump with a double load of hay and trailer. Only in baja would you find hay trucks on a racetrack. So called it a dia.

Back to town, cross paths with a local mexicano motohead. We talk. So, now I am signed up to ride in another mex local off-road race over in La Bocana next Sabado, no, Domingo, with him and his son. Looking fwd to it.

Gold, and those dreams, are where you find them.

    Feliz Naviad.

    Hells en baja, hoy!

Edit: just chased the local ponies outta the garden. No wonder I got nothing but horse apples for ensalada!

Beat me to it, peterman.... forced cheerfulness, forced spending, rampant consumerism, and so on. We've forgotten that Christ is the reason we celebrate, not Mammon. And what really bugs the crap out of me is when people say "Happy Holidays". It's not "The Holidays" dammit, it's Christmas with a Christ in it. And I'm not particularly religious.

And I like long sunny days, even if it's cold outside, so turning the corner towards shorter nights and longer days is a big event for me. We're getting closer to riding season now, not moving further away from it.

Bah Humbug back at you, my brother. And to all you FF's:

    Merry Christmas!!!!!

    OMB, stay cheerful

    Pete, stay curmudgeonly

Al, tell PSSR to get better group ID stickers this year so I don't get hassled by you and Tom when it blows off :evil

    :stupid

I'm not overly religious either but still keep the faith that I was raised with. This last weekend I did something I've been wanting to do for a couple of years, I constructed a 5 foot white wooden cross, covered it in white lights and hung it up high on the side of my shop that people can see from a nearby road. It's just my way of giving the finger to all the people that are offended by Christmas :D

    Merry Christmas to All

Even Hells...............but he gets a little extra cheer :flip
