Picked up the new Toy today Now to start the HardKits Build
Is it nice to ride Duke, id like to have a ride of that engine
Could replace both your bikes?
Or break your bones again!
Not sure if it ill replace any of my bikes yet. Time will tell
NO MORE BROKEN BONES PLEASE !!!!
Had to go out today so only rode home from the dealer. Of my short ride it feels very smooth for a single.
Can you touch the ground on this one
Well one foot only, or easy when I am standing beside it.
Apparently my in-seam is not long enough, but I have been told by the experts that being able to touch the ground is not necessary and I should just learn to ride it.
Cut your twins off, that will gain you about maybe an inch!
Bit of work today assembling the NAV tower:
Awesome mate enjoy ! Post some pics when you get started.
@Dukehunt ~ mate, do a detailed build report with pics please, cheers!!!
Thanks guys, I'll keep up the pics as I progress through the build, so far I have just about finished the nav tower, not is a rush and I have had plenty of family commitments to keep me occupied.
I need sort out the TT 660 Zumo lockable mount, will drill some holes and put a backing plate on the carbon fibre to spread the load over the surface.
One thing I can say is that everything in the tower fits together well, all holes etc line up exactly so no dramas yet.
My last package arrived today so I now have all I need to complete the build...Guess I better get started..
Alright guys If I was buying a 701 with a 2/3 HARDkit with rear rack, aside from what comes with the kit what are the must haves?
Let it breathe a bit better with a unifilter or similar intake and a wings exhaust (less than half the price of the akro for the same result).
Then get the dealer to install the performance map on the ecu. (available for the 17 model, not the 16. don't know which one you buying).
Would be '17
Hay River Track - Simpson Desert ~ Husqvarna 701- HARD Kit 710RR
Got a 3 day ride coming up next weekend. Looking forward to that, hopefully (actually there is a pretty good chance) will get to try out my new LED bulbs and see what they have to offer, much whiter light so hopefully a good thing for my stupid eye's. Might even fit the gps and power sockets i have had sitting around for a while.
Doug, if it is dusty make sure you are out front otherwise it turns into a white out. Have fun.
G'day Bruce, yeah i remember it being an issue coming through the Border Ranges one night on the XR in the fog.
