The PWNB looks pretty quiet for a Satdee nite , no locals drink there anymore by the looks of it , unless your mob didn't get there till it was past the locals bed time :D .

Another nice memorial for the past vets of the area. Great stuff.

Back into the scrub and head for Dorigo. Shouldn't take long, its just over there.

Some of the views around the place are just stunning, pictures or at least mine don't do them justice.

Pretty sure it's that way Rick.

This was a nice track, we rode it a couple of times, mainly cause we we went the wrong way, was still fun both ways though.

This is the way we were supposed to go. Mick navigated through here and took is on some awesome tracks.

This one was a good climb, Jacob's ladder. Keep momentum was key with laoded bikes, was reasonable in steepness and plenty of whoa boy's. 20170917_093400.jpg
A bit of a breather and top up the camelbaks with some water.

Eventually made it to Dorrigo and fueled up again for the run home.

1500klm's later, Another cracker ride with some great mates and we all made it home to go back to work on Monday. Awesome, love it when a plan comes together.

G'day Al, yeah the locals at Bellbrook said it would be pretty busy and we would have a fun night there. Was a little surprised to see only a few people, it was about 8.00ish when we rocked up, bit early for bed i reckon.

How well do those windscreens work blokes..do you get a low pressure area around your chest neck etc..any noise added to your helmet etc..?

G'day UncleGra, it actually works pretty well for me. No issue with my Troy Lee MX helmet or my AGV AX-8. Every now and then get a little whistle from the peak, but that's about it. Have had a few stinking hot day's riding last summer and found i needed to stand a few times to try and get some breeze over me on the tar and a stupid cold night ride where it worked great with keeping the cold breeze off my chest.

Thanks Poppy..the screen I use on both bikes is a National Cycles Deflector universal fit anything with handlebars kind of screen. It's reasonably large and creates a warm spot behind the screen which is handy down here in N.E.Vic in the winter. Was just curious if the more forward pointing design as yours is, would work much the same.
Great pics of the ride :thumb:thumb:thumb

^ I rode up this one about 10 years ago after a night of stormy rain , it was a job to get to the top . Fell off 2 or 3 times before reaching the summit and backed off with relief when I crested the summit and the engine braking caused the bike to slew around 180 degrees and dumped me on my arse again , was a fun morning that one . The ground was wet enough that the snakes didn't want to be down on it !

There was a bit more water in the Mann River that day too .

Sure am @poppy...got trip planned for November, up through NSW (Sydney to see the kids, then to Noosa to see a mate then across to Toowoomba to see @Kiwirich so he can test ride before his purchase and build, then back home.
Routes not yet planned but might just wing it.

Awesome report Doug it was almost like I was there

Jacobs ladder was all good except for a little step up around halfway up, but I don't think I'd like to hit it in the wet.

I checked it out on google earth and it a long hall to go around that section you have to go all the way to the bottom of the valley and loop back onto the road Kosakai road pops you out on.

Great weekend very happy with the full Hard kit . Wind protection is great , fuel range is awesome especially when your not sure about where your going ( which is a lot of the time with us ! )
