l have been told by a fellow biker l met in the Ozarks that it is a great route to ride, but as not everyone's interpretation of "scenic" or "fantastic" is the same, l just though l'd ask before l do the 350ml round trip miles & get home disappointed.

I'm not sure where Grove is but I have ridden around the Tahlequah area. I think it's very scenic. The Talimena scenic byway is very good. The route along the Illinois rivers is good. It's an area that deserves more exploration from me. This fall I went south and east of Talihina and explored two lane black top. It's a great area.

We like it and ride it frequently (mostly because we live here.) It's not Arkansas but it's still pretty good. It would probably be worth giving it a try. Be wary though, Highway 10 along the Illinois is a zero tolerance speed limit zone.

My recommended route for street bikes is: from Grove take 59/10 south to 127, 127 west to Zena, continue on 127 to Jay, from Jay take 59 south to 20, 20 west to 82/20, 82/20 south through Spavinaw to Salina, from Salina take Kenwood road east back to 59/10, take 59/10 south, when 59 splits off stay on 10 to Tahlequah. From Tahlequah, I like 62 east back to Arkansas.

It's more scenic in the summer but there is a lot more traffic then too.

    Spavinaw to Salina is great.
The route from Jay down to Tahlequah is good riding, but dangerous in summer when canoe haulers and drunken campers cross into your lane on a regular basis.

Thanks guys, l actually did the Grove to Tahlequah section on Friday, & while the 330ml round trip was "interesting" because l got to ride new-to-me roads, it didn't really light my fire & there are many better rides to be had nearer to home mainly in north central AR.
