There's a whole tradition of dogs in sidecars you should check out! There's even a documentary,Sidecar Dogs! http://www.sidecardogs.com/

And if you'd rather read a blog, check out Mallory Paige's blog, http://mallorypaige.com/operationmotodog/. She started from 0, bought a KLR and welded up a sidecar, and has been on the road for more than a year now with her lab. It rocks completely.

Local pet store had one that fit my guy, they have a crazy mix of accessories but I've seen a similar model online. Ran like $30, IIRC. It doesn't have built-in ear protection, but I just stuff a couple cotton balls into Henry's ears before I put the helmet on, and it gently holds his ears to his head so between the two I'm satisfied he's getting good ear protection.

I was at a BMW rally in Oregon a few years ago when a guy from Mexico showed up with his dog and a bike packed just about like that one. PLUS, he had a windsurfer on the right side of the bike. Wish I could find the pictures.

He loved hanging out around the campfire. He was a little nervous about the tent but once he got in and I zipped the door shut he quickly relaxed. I put him in his sleeping bag figuring he'd get right out and sleep on top of the bag but, no, he stayed in it all night. He even posed for a picture:

Love it! Can't wait to do some of that with my little guy. He loves to camp, but we haven't gone on the bike yet....still working up to the distance thing.

Heres Monty in his chair. He loves to go Uralling, he nudges me and tries to get me out to the garage. If I take a solo bike out he is not a happy chap! 20151213_145956.jpg

I ride with my dog all the time. He is a 9 pound, 9 year-old Havanese named Mario. He either rides on my BMW F800GSA, or on FullSizeRender-9.jpg my fiancé's BMW K1200GT, in a Kuryaken "Pet Palace." He has ridden over 5000 miles since last summer, and loves hearing "we're going for a motorcycle ride" without being left behind. I am currently researching a smaller carrier for my 2000 Triumph Bonneville. For those of us who love our dogs, it's wonderful to be able to take them along, and not feel guilty every minute we are out there enjoying ourselves. Mario loves to ride, and I will never ride without him.
