Aren't they like $4500 new? Are there a $1K in taxes?
Yep... "paradise tax!"
So as of now, I don't have any appointments this Friday so I'm thinking about heading out to Mana Rd. for a little day adventure. From the shop probably take 190 to Waimea then back out to Saddle. Anybody that wants to join let me know! I could push it to a weekend day if that makes it more convenient for anyone.
The "Lucky you live Hawaii" fee. After a while you wonder just how lucky you really are...
You have to consider the current Exchange Rate (Try Oanada.com) that will help you balance out Reality and Hawaiiality.
You think we pay $4.34/Gal for Regular because we want to? It's all set by the price of Ball Bearings on the Asian Market divided by the fair market value of a Rice Ball x the Square Root of a Corndawg... Sheesh, Economics is SO much more than Lack of Supply and Minimal Demand... Er market...
Was'up Andy? Looked for any lost wanderers on Mauna Kea lately????
So I spend lots of time jumping through all the stinkn’ hoops using every photo bucket code known to man and this little blue box with a question mark in it is the end product...WTF?
And I wonder why I get so pissed off...screw this computer shit, I’m going riding.
Hmmm, is there a New Secret Trail X? Where and when, I'm ready to do a ride where I don't have to load the Truck and get kicked in the Balls for four hours just to say I rode!!! Call me a Pussy but I believe you are what you Eat, let's go ride Gasser!!!
Ok screw that off road shit to many DLNR rules, I got a better solution.
I concur, let's ride! Keep me posted if you guys put something together...
So you guys want to get your trail riden okolis kicked huh?
I got to come back out here to "Holy Shit...Gulp...Trail.
With a chain saw to clear a No Shit!" hill climb section.
Having a Yer kidding me dude point of no return exit.
Whos the bad boys that are inn?
IN! Time and Place, ideally a Sunday (unless you want to watch the Wee Man after you completely Flag it). though I must say it still looks like a ball kicker but without the two hour truck trip on top of it....
Well just checking in here on Oahu. Added a new KTM enduro to my collection. Now I am all set for the street and dirt. Anyone looking to ride?
G'day! (or Aloha!)
My name is Steve and I;m heading to Hawaii for 3 weeks in a months time. I'm trying to find a well priced Motorbike/scooter/Dual sport for rent for a week on Maui and the Big island. I'm not interested in harleys, and can't really afford the quoted prices for bikes that I'm finding on the web.
is there any local knowledge, or a friendly soul that can point me in the direction of a rental company, or person, on either The Big Island, or Maui where i can get a bike? Dates are approx the 28th May till the 6th for both the other islands. I seem to be sorted for Ohau already :)
If your around and feel like sharing a beer (or 5) with a late 20's aussie drop me a line.
I'm moving to Kona next week and I'd be more than willing to heft a brew (or more!) with you.
HiAdv has a rental business in Kona, he has a thread in the vendors area. Look him up. There seems to be a strong Adv contingent on the Big Island, you shouldn't have any lack of suggestions.
Enjoy your time in Hawai'i, I'm sure you'll love it!
You picked it up just in time for this: 2013 Kahuku Extreme XC Hare Scramble - June 30th. I'm on the fence right now, if the Federal Furloughs go through I'm on it since I'll be able to schedule Friday and Monday off as furlough and I have enough miles to get there and friends to stay with the extra days are to receive and ship the bike. Entry form here: http://www.ridehma.com/sites/ridehm...iles/201304/2013HMAExtremeXC-HareScramble.pdf
What did you get?
G'day iSAW! I'm your guy here on the Big Island... we have a good variety of dual sports and I can turn you onto some amazing ride routes. Also, I do multiple day discounts and I'll discount your rental rate even more just for being an inmate
Website is in the sig line for more info and feel free to email me, call or PM and we can sort out the details.
On Maui, there only dual sports available are through Maui Moto Adventures but I think they currently only offer daily guided tours, may want to contact them. Mike is the owner there and a super nice guy.
I bought a 500 exc and it needs just a few things to be ready. Getting ready to order a skid plate, etc and have just a few hours on the motor breaking it in. About to check the valves, etc. My buddies shipped all my old dirt gear from the east coast. Nice not to be needing ice screws. I need to get to work sorting this bike out so I guess getting ready for a scramble is as good a time as any!
Hmmmm, super nice bike! Go up to Kahuku and ride around on the perimeter trail and check it out before you plop $50.00 Kala Beans down to enter. You need to ship over here and check out the B.I.!
Riding with friends on a friend's ranch, conditions were pretty close to Epic!
