Well its been a year, I have finally started rebuilding my engine that failed due to the cam chain tensioner. New one will have high comp pistons, knife edged crank, dual intake cams/degree'd cam gears, and a ported and polished head with an 04 ECU(Re Fladshable). Should be good for about 190Hp at the wheel. All for under $2500. I cant wait

Cool, document the rebuild with some pics and post 'em up, us gearheads love this kind of stuff! :evil

edit: dual intake cams, did I read that right?

Yes you did, it bumps the HP up nicely. I'm using ECS in Gilbert Az for the build. Walter Sprout is a national champion drag racer and held the record for being the quickest No (wheelie) Bar bike on the planet in the quarter mile. He also happens to be a good friend. I will have less into a performance build up than I would have to replace it.

Moving to GA... don't think the cops will be as "understanding" as they are in AZ. (I kinda have a heavy wrist). So... with a heavy heart I sold it as to prevent an "incident" on my record.

I have a set of seats ( Black Carbon Fiber Look with the emblems embroidered), and a black Zero Gravity screen (with FYYFF decal already in place!) in the flea market.

There's a 2008 turned up local. Looks ace. I'm tempted - just don't know if my neck is up to it TBH.

Any known issues with that year?

I can get anywhere from 16MPG to 40MPG. Depends on how hard I'm playing. I can run it empty in less than a 80 miles or so over 150. At 185MPH I'm getting about 15 mpg.

Hey is living in Russia as crazy at it looks on youtube? Everytime I see a Russian video something crazy is happening, like a meteor falling from the sky, people fighting in the street with baseball bats or some other nutty thing.

Just wondering, sorry for the threadjack.

Getting closer. New engine is installed and radiator is installed. Trying to find a fuel pump mount now. I'm so ready to ride my copper beast again.
