Incidentally, it's out now and the various Triumph websites mention heated abdomen lower back and kidneys but don't mention chest neck and upper back.

Going on that it would appear to be a rebranded StormWalker jacket instead of a StormRider vest with (unheated) sleeves.

Edit: Just heard back from them, seems Triumph messed up the description on this one. I'll go have a look at one soon.

Wow, I love my Stormrider vest, but EXo2 coming here and offering a ghost jacket that keeps getting slid by one year increments isn't doing much for the company's credibility. This rather suspect behavior kinda makes me think they can't get the fabroc to work very well in the sleeves from a comfort and fit perspective. Otherwise, why come here to intoduce a jacket at all, and why does a sliver of a market segment like Triumph jackets suddenly take priority :huh

More ghosts, this is turning into a proper saga. :-)

Went to the local Triumph dealer last friday. Found a note on the door, they're moving. Okay. Go to new address, new place hasn't opened yet. Note on the door says they're opening on monday. Website (still showing old address) says they're closed on monday.

Tuesday it is then. Brand new place, most stuff still in boxes, new thermatex jacket not in yet. They'd call me back if the clothes person was in. (Had a look at the XC. Nice bike.)

Friday now, just got off the phone: I've been told that the new jackets will probably be delivered sometime in March. Wait, what? :huh

What is it with EXO2? Their tech seems very good, and granted they respond quickly to email inquiries which is still rare enough these days, but they kinda suck at actually getting their stuff out the door don't they?

Adv Rider should delete this thread. What a joke.

It's not looking very promising right now; here's a response I just received to my inquiry:

So to summarize: 2.5 years, 15 pages of comments, and Officially Nothing. Right...

Incidentally, that EXO2/Triumph jacket was a nice bit of kit, but it didn't come with a regulator nor an option for one. Strictly on/off. Which kinda limits its use. And they were very unclear about the number/location of the heating panels. Exo2 says all over, Triumph (repeatedly, when asked) said lower jacket only (which would basically make it an expensively branded StormWalker jacket).

Oh well, it's a mild winter anyway. ;-)

I have a Stormrider vest that I use with the rechargeable battery pack. A charge lasts me about four hours (I never turn up the temperature more than 3).

So.... I really really like my StormRider vest but would like a jacket even more! :D

Are you still with us Davis, any news?

    Cheers,
    Lukas

They exist! In fact, I just got one of the first batch to arrive in America.

Details can be found at the UK website.
