Yes, I put the question on the internet and have had a lot of people that want to go there. Put the bike's in a container and fly ourselves to Almaty and start there for a trip af 5 weeks :D:D:D. Bike and biker are there for €1000 or so. Everyone does his own trip there, I just organise the shipping.

    Greetings, Ad

Most excellent RR bump. A true adventure, made by real adventure riders.

Thank you Tim and gang. :clap:clap:clap

Amazing RR, read it twice in case I missed anything. One thing I would love to know, how much did the Russian police take in "fines" if you worked it out. I am going to Russia and Mongolia in 2015, so want to know what this costs ;)

Travelling up to Estonia, then across in to Russia to St. Petersburg, down to Moscow and a quick blast to Ulan-Ude (avoiding truckers off course) then a week in Mongolia and return the same way, well maybe almost. I plan to take more time on the return than heading out. Still planning but the route is semi finalised, the hard work starts next

Cool. There's a couple of us researching shipping to Ulaan Baatar and riding back via Kazakhstan in 2015.

Was thinking of coming back that way but I want to stay a few days in Moscow each way to take it in. Had a life long desire to visit Moscow

Sorry for the delay, I only just caught up.:1drink

The demands varied, from $100 to an extortionate 150 Euros for one of the lads early on

I got all the way without paying a cent and so did the other 2 guys I rode with. Did have some cops in Ukraine trying it on for 100 euro but after an hour they got fed up of me.
I am a big belief of not getting involved in paying bribes along the way. It just makes things worse for other travellers following in your footsteps and encourages the police to hastle tourists as they think they get more money out of us..... Now if you have been breaking the laws in others country's that's your own sh** to sort out.

I totally agree mate and think I did say in the report that when we stopped marginally breaking the law things got much better:D
