Those guys did stink!
I would like to explore that area. I haven't ridden in there since high school. If you want to hit that again before winter please let me know. Again, I'm still on my "summer schedule" so I'm usually available sat, sun, mon, tues. Other days are possible too. Maybe Speedster can sneak away from the grind also and joing us
Looks fun!! Let me know too, I will gladly ride the battle pig KLR down from great falls to join you
Hound Dawg doesn't ever work a day that ends in "Y".
Like I said before, you're the one putting in the long hours, are you sure you can fit something like that into your schedule?:huh It must be tough to be a lottery winner, trust-fund hippie, and independently wealthy all at once. Oh, yeah, and a guvmint man too! You're probably going to vote for "What's His Name" again to keep that schedule! I'd vote for an African Lion before I voted for that Lyin' African!
PS. Post up a couple more photos, I haven't been on that road yet, it looks good.
There is a Trans Alp for sale where I work (montana motorsports and marine). If you are looking for a classic bike with only 13K on it come by and take it for a ride. I have friends with over 180K on their trans alp and they still use it for a daily driver. Trans Alp is the 600 V twin imported in 1989 in the states and then sold in europe where it morphed into the africa twin.
Just a little heads up if somebody is looking for something to do. I'm racing, so come find me to say "hi!" or at least to pick my bike up off of me!

We will be donating a minumum of $1000 to Troy Hickman to help with his injuries and doctor bills from his accident a few weeks ago while practicing for the Bozeman race. So...the more people that show up, the more we will donate!!! Please come and support this event for a downed rider.

This is a pretty low key event, intended to just be some great riding on a great track with a bunch of great folks. The event usually gets over about 2:00 or 3:00. High Fun Factor, Low Fuss Factor..........

Photos?.....or it didn't happen. Lets see some shots of the race.
So you wanna see photos of me tipped over on a hill trying to kick start my stalled bike on the 1st lap of the 1st moto? Well, do ya? I was too busy cussing to take any photos. Then I was too busy catching up after being a half a lap behind. Meh, you're right, it didn't happen!
2nd moto was better, got passed on the last lap by an even older, crustier guy than myself, but I still ended up 3rd. I'll take it for my 3rd time on the MX bike this year. Sheesh, I gotta get out more! ADV too! Dakar hasn't moved off the stand & charger since the July trip. I suck!
For once we agree on something!
Had a chance to ride the 1200 yamaha super tenere last night......sweet for a big bike, great long distance rough road bike. The new honda 250 street legal liquid cooled inverted fork fuel injected dual sport for 500$ cheaper than the yamaha 250XT just got here.
Bill, you just let me know when you get one of THESE in, mmkay? I'm looking hard at the new '13 CRF450R, but I'm waiting a little bit to see what the reviews on it are. When I get a new bike every 9 years, I don't want it to be a turd!
Speedster you just missed the Dakar that came and went.......altho it was called a trans alp and would need to travel thru the time warp tunnel to get from 1989 to present. One of the latest dakar bikes maybe can be ordered just remit your $900,000 deposite. We already have the air forks special pump and gauge set ordered for the 13 CR450.
Looking for somebody to ride with tomorrow, anybody have some time to get out?
Ha. Yeah, we got 8 - 10" of the white stuff in BoZo (more closer to the mountains). How much did you get up in Helena?
that....maybe a touch more. The wife could not get up the driveway with her new AWD car! I wasn't even close to getting up it in the work car, I have got to get that ATV back together and the plow on it soon.
Measured 16 inches on a table in the yard, westside. Finally above zero.
Holy Cow, a little quiet around here. Just thought I'd give it a bump to see if anybody is around. Sorry, I've been in the Basement playing with Jo Momma, but thought I'd check in to say "hi"!
Too cold to be anything but quiet. I don't even feel like working on the bikes. I think its goiing to be a long time untill spring.
