Heya Bee, I hadn't checked the thread lately. So how was the show? Any favorite pics from the show/races?

Barber was Great! If you ever get a chance to go you absolutely should. The museum has about 700 bikes on display and another 700 in storage to rotate in over time. The races were cool as well. One of those things that if I was younger would inspire me to get back into racing. I saw Dave Aldana racing in the vintage motocross which was actually more like a Hare and Hound chase though the woods. I've got so many pictures it's hard to choose which ones to post but I'll put a few up. IMG_0060.JPG IMG_0059.JPG IMG_0060.JPG IMG_0059.JPG IMG_0058.JPG

Hey guys, I have a bit of an emergency here.

I bought a bike on eBay, but the seller was not very willing to meet and now he is going out of town so his buddy will be doing the hand off.

I just spoke to him and he seems to want to just meet at a public place like a walmart, drop the bike and leave. Unnerving considering I'm already 1500 miles into a 2500 trip to pick this thing up.

I just got into Minneapolis, just installed a hitch on the car after running to 10 places hoping one had one in stock.

Anyway, the guys "friend" may not be able to meet on Thursday in case I don't get in at a decent time on Wednesday tomorrow and I need to be back in Minneapolis Thursday evening\Friday morning the latest.

Is anyone able to to receive the bike and hold it for pickup?

I'll be leaving MN shortly and it would be roughly 16hrs from here to Helena.

So you're coming to Helena to get a bike, and not sure you'll make it in time? Is the drop off dood local here? I can probably help you out if that's all you need. Or I would offer up my assistant JJMYZRIDER if I can't? :lol3 Ping me some details and I'll see that we can get it if'n you are gonna be late.

If it's already paid for and you just need it picked up I could probably help too. Pending type of bike etc. (my trailer can handle a dual sport but not a goldwing or anything huge). So you've already paid and don't need it inspected right?

So I picked the bike up last night, the guy who sold it to me jipped me for $300 and the damn thing was all loose. I had to tape and bungee and ziptie and strap the bike together before putting it on the damn trailer. I'm also fairly certain a few pieces are missing.

The guy wasn't able to meet me so his friend literally brought it to a walmart parking lot, pulled it off his truck and drove away. No hello, no how was your 2500 mile trip to Helena in the middle of February.

Just gimme the money and you're on your own out here in 9 degree weather.

I must have bought and sold 50 or 60 bikes over the years and have never treated or been treated that way. And I'm from Brooklyn!

Anyway, I'm hanging in Minneapolis for a few days before I head back to NY. We did a 36hr run from here to there just to grab the bike and get the hell back so my buddy could sleep before getting to work tomorrow.

    I'm annoyed and wired.

sorry for the bad experience brother. We Helenans are usually a much more friendly bunch. I hope that when this guys rude behavior is behind you that you enjoy the bike you bought.

First ride of the year that wasn't just commuting to work or messing around in the snow in my yard.

Well, I got the new cheap bike running! Now I need to find a shop or someoneto tune the carb for cheap too. It feels like there is no power increase past 1/4-1/2 throttle or so. I'm thinking vacuum leak or carb issue, but I really don't know enough about carbs to know where to start and don't want to just be throwing parts at it.
