Hi folks, I'm in the process of creating a predominantly single track version of the WABDR running on the east side of the Cascades from the Washington/Oregon border to the Washington/Canadian border.

I really appreciate the work that the Back Country Discovery Route guys are doing for dual sporting (for those who don't know: http://www.backcountrydiscoveryroutes.com/WABDR), the routs are great for larger dual sports and the work they've put into compiling and sharing these rides is amazing and much appreciated. My issue is that, with a plated KTM dirt bike (525 and 250), I'm just not that interested in riding on a series of linked forest service roads and 2 track, and that's where you come in!

This is a community effort with people signing up to ride and save GPS data, Pictures, videos etc. of various sections of the route. I've started mapping out a viable route located in this regional post here:

There's no way I can figure out and ride all of this out alone (I have a job and a wife), I'm hoping we can map this out as a community.

Please feel free to add ideas/thoughts/suggestions/relevant links to this post.

Yes, the BDR is done by and for Adv bike riders not Dual Sport dirt bikes. How about locals just start posting Tracks of single track trails or very primitive 2-tracks and see how they connect?

hi Jerry, I've been getting good support from local riders and am accumulating a fair amount of gpx tracks, I should have this completed by the end of this summer.
please see the main thread in the regional forums for more info

Fantastic response, you have so many options in that part of the country.

A sugestion; lay out both a parallel 2-track jeep road along with single track options were possible. Single track is like 12 MPH so only 60-90 miles a day. Two-track is like 24 MPH and easier so up to 200 miles a day, better for people on long trips.

I would love to see collection of tracks to date if possible.
