There was a thred by some, i think; South African bloke tthat hade made some gizmo that taps into the Canbus.
Of course I can't find it.
IIRC it could trigger driving lights and what not.
Clearwater's stuff looks amazing but for 650 green ones plus postage and customs and VAT we're talking close to a grand.
I ask you who keep your ears close to the ground are there any other can thingies coming?

Seen a demo of the one the HEX/GS-911 guys are coming out with, and it looks to be pretty nice. Supposed to retail for around $150 I believe.

OomD's smartswitch is the bomb! If you want (and I did), you can customize the programming to suit your needs. Great piece of kit!

Oh yeah he does. To the tune of 25%, not your average 5.3% VA state tax :imaposer ......East of the seas of Kattegat. That puts him in south Sweden.

    Welcome to Scandinavia.

Well, let's be honest here. If you really broke down the tax base and how many want their cut it would come out to more than 5.3%.... But that would be getting to JM like.

I got in contact with him, and should be having one sent my way. Apparently those South Africans are the only ones that understand Canbus... (OoMD, Hex)

Has anyone heard a status update on the EzCan from Hex - I think it looks pretty promising but cannot find any status. I've emailed Hex and tried calling to no avail.

When I last talked to Stephan at the MOA Rally he said it would be out within a couple months. Hopefully that means soon.

I'll check back with him and see. I am interested in it myself.

I liked the idea so much I bought the SmartSwitch made by fellow inmate Oomd and stopped paying attention to the release date by Hex.

I'm sure the hex unit will be a little more user friendly, but at the cost of some capability.

This looks like just the thing needed for the Canbus bikes!

I hope the initial reports are positive.

Anyone know if the emergency brake light function does inertial braking? In other words does it activate the brake light during hard engine braking or just if the brakes are being applied?

NEVERMIND: I dug into their website deeper and it does have an interial braking option. Looks pretty neat. I just wish they had more accessory outputs so I could get an EZcan only and be done (ie no fuse box). Maybe they will allow additional channel configuration in the future. I guess I could run all my accessories off the single accessory lead and up the amps.
