Yup, keep throwing time into the more reliable bike...:lol3

Relays are easy, as long as they remain sealed. :patch You know some the best old skool relays are Bosch? Make sure your connectors and such are clean and tight.

I saw that,,looks like lots of them,,just like last year,,so,, we ride where the fires were last year,:deal,no problem!:1drinka little smoke ain't gonna stop us,,(just wreck the views maybe :huh) might hit some road closures,,but,
won't be the first time we've been re-routed, and we don't even know where we're going yet anyway,,so,,it's all good!
Our small group of 5 or 6 got involved with doing campground evacuation sweeps, and re-routing traffic on the highway to help out the sheriff deputy at the roadblock,,it was kinda fun kicking everyone out! then the fire got BIG and CLOSE,,so we beat cheeks back to Stanley to re-group. It was an adventure!

registration opens in January, limited to 50 riders,,some will not show.
The riding is good, the food is "surpassing superior", and the riders are great!

look early, and look often,,it fills up fast!
Don't know how many more Nez Rallys there will be,, this is 17,,and Mike Howard (the host) may not want to keep doing this,,but we will all push him towards Nez Perce GS Rally #20!
This ride is what you make it,,rough back country or winnebago worthy gravel roads, the rally has 2 rules,,
    #1,,Nobody rides alone!
#2,, Do not be late for supper!
You and yer missus would fit right in,The Nez needs more lady riders!,, and you'd love it,, I promise!

So that's where your headed. I really thought you and fish were just going to go get lost it the woods with no plan! Had friends from Idaho want us to head out to that ride. I was just thinking of tagging along for a day or two and then heading home if time allowed. Just need a "time out" from trees and grass!

Our plan is not to plan... what could possibly go wrong? :lol3

Might be leaving Friday. Might meet Peter somewhere that ain't on fire. Might make it somewhere to camp that night that isn't on fire or in the hot desert. I know my bike starts and there is air in the tires... found the bulk of my camp gear. Just about time to start packing...

I think you broke rule #2 last year. No supper was served next to the Salmon River near Shoup. I think you were about 50 miles in front of the group that night.

    See you Sunday.

me too, new air in new tires,,I sold the used air to some guys with a basketball!:deal
Gas tank is full, empty bags are on the bike,,piles of stuff all around,,this bag or the bigger one,,decisions decisions,,

what time can you be to the Safeway in Madras?

Since it is the biggest thing in town, it's easy to find.

Safeway in Madras sometime in the afternoon, but early enough to get to John Day before nightfall,,so ,,pretty broad spectrum of time,,almost an era!
If I try to leave at 10 I won't make it out til 12,,so I should try for 9,,:lol3
Oh,,and tomorrow is prime rib sourced french drip sammiches at the 'meat locker' if they still do that,,hell, if they are still in business for that matter. right across the lower parking lot from safeway.
Mmmm, prime rib! Lemme know what ya think,,or call me, or what the fuck ever,,I GOTS PACKING TO DO!:clap

    this is gonna be fun!
