The Sherco X ride is a good option. I had a chance to play a little on a 4T Scorpa version, I think I would have liked it a lot if it hadn't had a recluse clutch in it... LOL

IMO the potential customer would consider a compromise when looking for the added versatility w/o sacrificing much on the trail pedigree.
I think for a hybrid there is an advantage of having a 4T engine on pure trail baseline.

Ok, I've narrowed it down to two or possible three if you consider "nothing" an option. TRSRR 250 or Scorpa SC Factory 250. The national support is tempting with the Scorpa (even though I would win nothing, but it lowers the price $400). I'm thinking I would be more at home on the TRS though, since I've had GG for my last two bikes. And nothing is still an option and I can ride the old slug Bultaco. What say ye...?

Nothing is not an option. Scorpa it is.

1400 miles one way from Dubuque to TTC and then onto Arkansas for the Eastern Nationals. Unless you were definitely planning on riding the Taco in the vintage class at the Nationals.... That will suck the life from that $400 discount!:photog

Is it really 1400 miles? I've made the trip several times, didn't seem quite that far. If I buy the TRS, it will save me a lot of travel time and expense.

Okay I exaggerated... 1350 anyway! 725 to TTC and 625 to Uniontown from TTC. I'd still get the Scorpa!

It'll be awhile. Won't get it for at least a month, maybe two. Doesn't matter it's -3F here right now and I'm NOT taking my brand new bike out and getting it filthy like Norman.:-)
