Diesel Steamer is slowly coming together. Wanting input on paint scheme's for it. There is some great threads in here on merits (or not) of Hi-Viz paint jobs. Discuss why's and Why not's in those threads. Here lets stick to paint schemes.

My riding gear is black mostly but can / will add a little Hi-Viz yellow or orange stripes and/or generic safety vest over. Helmet is Hi-Viz yellow but can paint Hi-Viz Orange

Maybe something like old Yamaha Scheme in Hi-Viz?

Don't want Gaudy over kill, like Euro Police bikes

Though the Police bike in bottom right of below image is not bad

Some options that come to mind

Bike color of xxxx with Hi-Vis Yellow (or Orange) Oem looking Tiger logo sticker

    xxx=??
    Gloss Black,
    Flat Black
    Gunsmoke Grey
    Desert Tan
    Olive Drab
    Carbon Fiber ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N5N-AYaENI )
    Desert Camo

Or Hi Viz yellow or orange Tiger with Black Logo's

    Open to ideas

PS- Thinking of trying the plastic Dip paint. Can peel it off and try again a year later if want. ( http://www.youtube.com/user/DipYourCarcom )

Any Artist in here got a simple idea?

Any good Photo Shopper's who can make up some models?

That's a start. Keep em coming.

Will admit though am picturing in my head more of a traditional scheme with the only difference being using Hi-Viz paint as part of the traditional. As opposed to doing the Hi-Viz as an added BLAM

For me the Steamer Tiger is the perfect Desert Rat bike ... should have that feel in it's paint scheme.

This BMW X Challenge was the inspiration for my own DR650. You could add
Hi-Viz touches ... in a subtle way ... here and there. Solid Hi-Viz gets old and ugly pretty quick, IMO.

I later added a bit of Hi Viz Green on front fender ... aircraft propeller style.

Will add desert Camo to my list. See what you mean now about propeller tip
Somewhere in pic below is a propeller with a Hi-Viz tip. Hard to see among all the Fodder.

I like colors that still say, hey it's a tiger. The Girlies had some of the wildest yet cool colors. Since the steamer and girlie are somewhat similar in shape, compared to the 1050s and newer. I think roulette green or that wild orange color with black stripes would serve you well.

IF you are going for the what kind of a bike is it looks, I would lean towards olive drab or the new triumph dull green

I'm also interested on making my bike and my gear more visible without looking a clown. Will follow this thread.
